I'll bite...Theis is on $9.1m...so we could trade Gallo + Payton which would be $10.8m, or Gallo and Muscala. Or we could trade Timelord. Or Al. Basically the pieces to make a deal would be:

Timelord $11.5m
Al $10m
Gallo $6.8m
Payton $4m
Muscala $3.5m
Kornet $2.4m
Champagnie $1.9m

Which of those would Indiana find attractive?
I do none of these trades

I liked Theis. Fun to root for.

But he would have been BBQ chicken if he got any minutes against Miami again lol. Remember the 2020 bubble and what Bam was doing to Kanter/Theis?

He's had plenty of time to study video with Doris Burke to improve his game vs Bam

To replace Kornet? Sure. That's about it.
Agree. Not sure he's better than Muscala

does anyone forget the bubble against Bam? he was destroying Theis/Kanter. the move to Horford/Timelord and going away from the undersized score first point guard is what improved our defense..

I saw Theis in the crowd after Game 5 in Boston. I love seeing old Celtics show up to games and always liked Theis.

I always liked him but, Surferdad said, I don't think he's currently better than Muscala or Kornet.

To clarify, I think he's better than Kornet who can only dunk and is a terrible defender and has stone hands. He might be about even with Muscala who is much cheaper.
