Do people here really not know the power of jinx?

I’ve been wrong all series with the exception of Game 5. Thought Cs would win 1,2, & 3.  And after the embarrassment that was G3 I thought this team had just folded and they’d lose G4.   And I thought Miami would take G6 because I thought it would be close.

So, I’m reluctant to allow myself to believe in the Cs tomorrow night.

That said, I’ll be my tension-riddled self hoping to see the Celtics (and fans) we saw in Game 5 tomorrow.

Btw - a rallying cry along the lines of “Play 48” should be an emotional driver for this team from here on. No let ups - play 48 electric minutes.

All good points .   I allowed myself to make a “a good  hope wager “ among friends , not one of defiance,  or against the universe karma .

I never answer with the bragging attitude, we can’t be beat

Butler did this by guaranteeing a  win.

Team that fights hardest wins.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'll go all-in with my 84 Tommy Points.

I correctly predicted Boston wins in games 4 and 5, but thought they might lose in Game 6 (which I was thankfully wrong about).

Trying to be genuinely impartial, I like Boston to take game 7 for a few reasons:

1. The last time Boston played Miami in the ECF with not dramatically different lineups we won the series

2. I think Miami are under immense mental pressure, because if they lose they will go down in history as the only team to ever allow a team to come back and in after going down 3-0.  And that is NOT a record anybody wants to be famous for.  Celtics have already won three straight now, and while people give them a chance nobody really EXPECTS them to win so they aren't really under that much pressure.

3. Butler is 33 years old, will be going on 34 next year.  This year they had to win a play-in tournament just to make the playoffs.  This is the second time he's made the ECF in the last couple of years, and if he falls short again he may not get another chance to make a push for a title.  I feel like he's probably under a lot of pressure right now to try to make this push.  By comparison Tatum and Brown are both young, they have plenty of tiem to win if they fall short this year.  Not that much pressure on them really.

4. After losing three straight games to the Celtics now, Miami might be starting to really lose faith in themselves.  Especially after how the last game ended.  If Boston is able to feed off their home crowd and come out strong in the first half and build a comfortable lead, Miami may well lose faith that they can beat the Celtics and may just give up.

The Celtics MUST come out strong early in game 7.  I genuinely believe that the Heat cannot beat the Celtics - the Celtics are just too talented, too deep.  I really believe that the only way the Celtics can lose is if they beat themselves.  They need to make the Heat feel the same way.  They have just won 3 straight games against Miami - they need to take a "no mercy" approach and put a foot on the Heat's throat early, make them feel suffocated, and take a way their belief in themselves.  They do not want to come out weak, allow Miami to hang around, and then give "Playoff Jimmy" a chance to be a hero.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
