Not a title team mentally nor coaching wise

guess we will find out if this team is mentally tough or not. IF and big IF they can win game 3 in Miami, anything can happen game 4 if they go all out and Miamis role players cool down at all.

They have the ability to win on the road (won 2 in philly last series, shouldve been 3 if they didn't throw away game 4) .

I just am not sure if they are mentally tough enough to do it. like, the Lakers I know because they have Lebron will be prepared and can make Denver a series. Lebron has come back from down 0-2, 1-3 many times...i just dont know if the Celtics can.

Believe is probably too strong a word.  But I haven’t lost faith completely because Miami is vulnerable. Get a win in Miami tomorrow and the entire completion of the series changes.  If g3 is a win g4 becomes pivotal for both teams.
I expect Boston to win games 3+4 and come back home with the series tied 2-2.

Probably lose the next one (Gm 5) though. This team struggles too much to keep focus.

The thing about belief is that it doesn’t have to be tethered to evidence, so I’ll maintain my belief in their ability to win the series.

That said, it’s very possible Jpot, Mahk, and others could be proven right about the outcome of the series. But I believe.

that’s called faith; nothing wrong with that. TP for articulating it so well.

my heart says the C’s make a series of it, but my brain has processed too much evidence to the contrary this season and won’t allow any more unfounded belief.
Yeah it’s not looking good. But it’s not over yet - and even if we’re swept (which I really don’t see), it’s only basketball.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

this team is so bi-polar I honestly don't know what we will get.

we could easily turn it on and win 2 on the road and tie the series. Or we could get swept. Depends which team shows up.

It's not like we have been totally outclassed in both these games. The talent is there to win these 2 games on the road. And we won 3 in Miami last year.

Its basically we lost our composure while up while Miami has kept theirs. Also, their roleplayers are hitting every 3 point shot while ours are clanking 3's.

Yup.  I’m stubborn.  I’m Edward Smith & will go down with the ship.

This team is certainly capable of reeling off a couple of wins to get back in this series.  But I just don’t know what to expect out of them at this point. Not sure where this mental state is & they have a coach straight out of the Grady Little school of incompetence which doesn’t help matters.

Heat in 6. Celtics split in Miami, win game 5 and lose a close game 6.

Honesty, I'm tired of the dysfunctional playing style we've seen in this team for five years. It's holding them back. Part of me wants them to be swept so they'll be forced to make necessary changes and change their mentality. It sucks having to say that. Does that make me a bad fan?

EDIT: F*** that. Of course I want the Cs to win. BEAT THE HEAT!!!!

I get the vibe that we will win one out of two in Miami, the problem is they play so bad at home that Miami likely closes it out in 5 on the road.  If by some stroke of luck they eek out a victory in G5 then heading to Miami they will have their confidence level the  highest.

Part of me really believe they can flip this but seeing Jimmy Butler playing like he is Jordan's son from a diffrent woman-- then its almost guaranteed we go on a vacation whether its a sweep or in 6 games.
