Rest assured Charlotte will take Scoot. It's all part of a greater plan to trade LaMelo to GSW for Steph Curry, finally bringing Curry back to his home state and making this vague "Strategic Alliance" announcement between Steph and Scoot actually make sense.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry announced Tuesday he’s entering into a “mentorship and strategic alliance” with 2023 NBA prospect Scoot Henderson.

But something is still not right, next we have to look at this report...
Quote
"This is all prelude to I think the next year in the NBA could be an unbelievable period of superstar and star player movement because you've just got a lot of sort of roiling situations," said Lowe on his podcast. "You have one year left before the really harsh trade rules kick into place after the 2023-24 season where teams over the second apron, like the Clippers, for instance, cannot even aggregate salaries. They can't add up money to bring in a big money player. That's starting after next season.

Lamelo of course will want nothing to do with an aging GSW team so he is then re-routed to Portland for Damian Lillard who takes over for Steph Curry in his hometown of Oakland. Lillard allows GS to ride out Klay into retirement while remaining a play team after Draymond walks. Lamelo for his part at least gets back to the West Coast and runs with a core of Brandon Miller, Shaedon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons, and a re-signed Jerami Grant.

Follow the breadcrumbs, the NBA is all scripted if you know where to look.

Fun note on Charlotte getting the #2 pick from Hornets fans -- everytime there is a generational talent and Charlotte has a chance at gettin him, they fall to #2.

1992 Shaq -- fall to #2, get Zo
2005 Dwight -- fall to #2, get E Okafor
2012 AD -- fall to #2, get MKG
2023 Wemby, fall to #2, get Scoot or B Miller

Always missing out on the generational talent.

Meanwhile, San Antonio just got their 3rd 7 foot generational talent in D-Rob, Tim Duncan and now Wemby.

Apparently, everything really is bigger in Texas.

But better in San Antonio than in the East.
