I just hope the kid stays healthy.

His frame is concerning. His game is so good, though.
Thankfully (given his pro salary from early on) he has been able to invest a lot more in nutrition and training than most kids his age

I saw something somewhere that said outside of Kareem, the only other tall guy who played big minutes in his career was Mark Eaton and he only played 25,000 minutes. None of those 7-2+ guys stayed healthy for long.

I was surprised by that. I knew a lot of them get injured. I didn't realize ALL OF THEM got injured.

Most kids his age aren’t 7’5” and 215 lbs.  :P

I for some reason assumed Parish and Kevin Willis were both 7’2”.

Childhood Donoghus had Parish memorized at 7’1”

With as much as I use the mid-80s Celtics in 2K, I should have memorised it too!

Portland got the #3 pick. Brandon Miller would be a nice fit. A tall long athletic shooting SF would be a great fit next to Portland's core.

G: Lillard
G: A Simons
F: Brandon Miller
F: J Grant
C: Nurkic

That is a fun team. Two dynamic guards with two dynamic forwards. The shooting and offensive potential of that foursome is impressive. Good speed.

If only they had a better center. Ah well.

Do you think Charlotte go past Miller? I don’t see them wanting Scoot given their roster, and if Portland pick Scoot I imagine they try and ship Lillard (would Houston make a play for him?), right?

I saw other people say this. I don't understand. Is this because of Terry Rozier?

I wouldn't pass on Scoot because of Terry Rozier.

If I were POR and Scoot did slip to me, I'd either trade Lillard for a full rebuild or trade Scoot for an established star to ride out the end of Lillard's career in POR. I'd probably lean towards a trade but that depends on something worthwhile being available.

More Ball than Rozier. Scoot is a ball-dominant non-shooter, whilst Ball is a ball-dominant decent shooter. I think there would be similar fit issues that we’ve seen with Trae and Dejounte Murray. I just don’t like the fit personally.

I would probably trade too. I think they should anyway

I'm wondering if Victor goes first.  He's listed at 7'5" and 230#.  That's awful small for his height.  Is there any chance that San Antonio goes Miller?  Yeah he's long, but can you see him just being pushed around?  IDK, I might play the safe card and draft Miller.

I've heard reports that even if VM blew out a knee and was supposed to miss two seasons that he'd still be the #1 pick.

There's some risk, but the potential blows any other prospect completely out of the water.

There isn't any safe card when you are drafting.  You draft the best talent available unless there is big health or character issue.  Being lightweight is not a big deal.  That is what strength and conditioning program is for.  The Spurs definitely will not be drafting Miller #1.  If for some reason they had concerns about VW, they'd put the #1 pick up for bids and get a massive haul.
