One way the C's can help themselves is to run!  A 34 y/o Love and a 33 y/o Butler might be low on gas.  Was reading this online, I'm not saying the Heat have no chance but saying the Heat in 5, that's disrespectful to the C's!

I was trying to see who next season in the East would challenge Boston...

Bucks and Sixers will go backwards
Heat can't survive with roster. It is a nice little story now but you cannot sustain or win a title with that roster.
Knicks seem to be several pieces short
Maybe the Cavs?

Cavs will be good, Knicks will come back. Nets are not bad with their newest additions. Bucks will still be up there as long as Giannis is there. Hawks still got Trae.

Bucks is still second to Boston, or Boston's main rival in the East until Giannis leaves.

Only way Miami wins is if boston helps them. They are bad match up for the Heat

That is the crux of this team.  They always seem to help out the other team because they can't get out of their own way.  Hopefully they can replicate last game where they brought the energy, played tough D, only had 7 TOs and JT stepped up.

ESPN just said the heat have a 3% chance of winning. This series is going to seven, sigh. I wish I could bet the over under on the post game phrase "We didn't have the energy" as I'd be shocked if we don't get 2 losses due to that.

I really hope they don't play down to the Heat and shed this toxic part of their game.
Still don't believe in Joe.

I don't think Boston respect Atlanta
I don't think Boston ever though Philly could beat them

I do think boston respects Miami and knows this will be a series they take seriously

https://clutchpoints.com/heat-news-tyler-herro-injury-update-for-game-1-eastern-conference-finals-vs-celtics

Per Spo, Herro is not even able to dribble or shoot yet. Hard for me to think he’ll be back in any meaningful fashion by the end of this series if that’s the case, especially with it being on his shooting hand.

We have 2 of the top 3 players in this matchup and the players behind them are not even close to the same league.
This got me thinking, after the top 2 players on either team, do the Celtics have the next best 2-5 players?

So Miami's next best player with Herro out is probably Gabe Vincent. Maybe Caleb Martin. Lowry? Then what, Kevin Love? Duncan Robinson. Oh Max Strus. I am going to go with Caleb Martin as their 3rd best player.

Well, Smart is better than Caleb Martin. D White is better than C Martin. Brogdon is better than C Martin. Horford is better than C Martin. Timelord is better than C Martin. That is 5 players BOS that is better than Caleb Martin.

Boston has 7 of the top 9 players in this series.

They have 2 of the top 3 and 7 of the top 9.
This should not even be a series.

Yeah.  After Butler and Adebayo, the rest of the Heat may not be any better than Grant or Hauser.  Lowry if healthy is better, in the Smart, White, Brogdon range but not sure that is the Lowry we will see.   Heat won’t make it easy though.
Kyle Lowry was in the Smart/Brogdon/White range. Not any more

Shame away.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I picked Celtics in 6.

I feel that they should sweep if they play to their full capabilities every game, but I still expect them to have at least one clunker; that pushes it to 5. I also think that they might have a game where they play really well but Butler goes nuclear and basically wins by himself. So that's 6.

Yeah in that case he's pretty much out this series then

One thing that is easy to forget, is that Atlanta beat Miami in the play in game. That does not mean they would have to beat Miami in a series, but Atlanta did beat Miami in a important game.
