This is one of those series that the Cs on paper should win in 5 games. This Miami team isn’t as good as last year’s team. They have major injuries, their key players are a year older, and quite frankly were pretty average this year.

All that being said, it is totally on brand for the Cs to I’ve this series goes at least 6 games. I’ll give Miami one game where Butler goes bananas. But feels like it will be a mucked up series where there will be copious amounts of grifting and zone defenses.

Celtics in 6 and it won’t be an easy 6 game series. Miami plays hard every possession and is well coached. Spolstra has done an all time coaching job to get this team this far IMO. They haven’t gone 7 games yet, all with just Butler, Bam, and ancient Lowry and a bunch of un-drafted players.

not saying it will be an easy series. but the amount of fans picking the heat to win. and win convincingly in 5-6 games on a Boston forum is honestly shocking to me.

Celtics in 6. They are a tough scrappy team that can claw their way into games against similarly talented teams. I don't believe they have the firepower to beat the Celtics.

People here have been mentally scarred by this team and I suspect there's a bit of reverse psychology going on  Though I only see 4 picking the Heat to win?

Personally I'm going Celtics in 7...because there will be a couple of losses that will have folks tearing their hair out, but also a couple of transcendent wins where we wonder why they can't play like that all the time (tip: it's probably hard to do so)

It's still amazing that the team can't lock in consistently.  I mean, I reluctantly understand giving mediocre effort in February.  And I can even understand not being fully prepared for playoff basketball coming into the first round.  But not showing up against the 76ers is mind boggling to me.

Play two bigs.  Play hard on defense.  Don't be lazy or stupid on offense.  Championship.
