He’s not getting fired

But also, look at Jaylen tonight. Look at this team even with Brad Stevens and Ime. It’s not entirely on the coach either. Roster changes are needed more IMO. I don’t think adding Monty is going to suddenly make Jaylen learn to dribble.

Tatum was 22 and Brown was 23 in their run in 2020. Hayward got injured, Kemba was starting to break down, and our center rotation was Theis/Kanter. Or we can talk about Tatum's rookie year in 2018 going head to head with Lebron to G7.

It really isn't fair to compare how Brad's teams performed to this one.

As far as Ime goes, we were up 2-1 in the Finals with a 4th quarter lead in game 4. We lost, and it was disappointing, but we were supposed to build upon that, not be worse.

Not getting swept is nice, but it's still the same result in the end: an ECF loss. Only this time we had a much better team.

Time to pack his bags. No reason for him to be back next year. Didn't have his guys prepared again today, let alone the inexplicable benching of JT for half of the first quarter that gave them momentum the rest of the way.

Geez. You all are like squirrels with this.

Your best player got injured on the first play of the game, and the other team shot 50% from 3 (again). It’s not about Joe.

It's not Joe.  It's just his offensive and defensive schemes.

Did the offensive and defensive schemes cause JB to turn the ball over 8 times? Or did it cause the team to shoot 39% from the field and 21% from 3pt. The team just flat out choked. I don’t think any coach could have saved them tonight.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Reporter: "After tonight and other struggles, does the team rely too much on the three?"

Joe: "No."

Can't make this stuff up. Get this dogmatic, clueless phony out of this organization.

And rotation decisions...

And in-game management futility...

Any coach wouldn't sit their best player for half of the first quarter and give the Heat all the momentum they needed.

I'd have rather lost game 6 then have this result.  Just so embarrassing top to bottom.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

It's not just tonight.  Joe has consistently failed to get the most out of this talented roster.  Say whatever you want about the regular season statistics.  Those don't matter.

I'm actually not that upset about losing to the Heat.  I thought that they were the better team overall.  And even mid-way through the Atlanta series, I never believed in this team.  Too inconsistent, lack of composure, inability to execute, terrible coaching, etc.  We managed to make it this far in spite of Joe, not because of him.

A roster this talented should not play as poorly as we did, and it happened multiple times in this series alone.  Underachieved big time.  Championship windows are usually short-lived.  Wasted season.

Joe only has one word answer.

physicality
poise

etc.

Probably what he says in time outs. It's not his fault he was thrust into that position but if you can't do the job you gotta go.
