The only guy I'm worried about is G-Will. He hasn't looked good for a few months now on both ends

I know Hauser and others have stepped up and will probably have roles, but there will be times we'll need someone else besides Horford/Timelord to defend the elite bigs and G-Will in theory is that guy. He's proven it before. Ideally he can figure it out this week while resting/practicing and find a role again, but otherwise we may have to just rely on others. G-Will's next contract could also be determined based on the postseason and how he plays. Regardless what's happened, if he has a great playoffs he can give himself a good chance at a solid contract

Sam Hauser looks like the real deal, no? He needs to crack into our regular top 5 rotation or maybe even start at SF and throw off our opponents. Another 26-point burger from him.

PP looked like a stud out there. Any way we can pay PP and let G-Will walk?

Also nice game from Muscala.

I don’t know about top 5 but I do think Hauser has made his case for some playoff opportunities.  He’s hitting shots, he’s contributing at both ends, and he’s impacting the game even when his shot is off.  I trust him more than Grant right now, though I do acknowledge that Grant will be necessary against some matchups.

When it comes to overreacting to wins and losses, nobody does it like CelticsStrong  :police:

They all played great, no doubt about it, but they were playing against second stringers so you'd expect them to

Lol, too true.

And, ahead of whom? Tatum, Brown, White, Brogdon, Smart, Horford and Williams III are all ahead of him. Grant sometimes is too.

PP with the 30 point tripe double. I would genuinely, and seriously, rather trade Smart and keep Pritchard in an increased role, but sadly I doubt Brad agrees with me

It would be interesting. Get some real big man help in return for Smart, start White instead, Brogdon and Pritchard off the bench.

Heck, Pritchard might still find himself outside of the rotation. Another frontcourt player for Smart plus Hauser's continued development ... the team might be better off going bigger just with D White and Brogdon at backup PG next to true wings / forwards & big men.

Or start D White and Brogdon and stay small in the backcourt. Use Pritchard as backup PG.

So many options.

That's the path I was thinking. Try and get Wendell Carter Jr., or someone similar. Not sure how possible it is, but it's something I keep coming back to.

I love the balance of:
White / Pritchard
Brown / Brogdon
Tatum / Hauser
Horford / Grant / Muscala
Williams III / Carter Jr.

Lots of variation possible with the bigs, including small ball with Tatum at the 4.

Love this idea. Just doubt Orlando would want to trade Wendell unless they drafted Victor or another big.

Yeah, not necessarily Carter Jr., but someone of that calibre.

watched on tape delay.  today's hot takes:
- awesome triple double by PP.  very happy for him that he put together that solid of a game.
- Hauser looked terrific.  hope to see that level of play in the playoffs.
- Muscala and Blake both looked solid.  feeling encouraged we have them on the bench if needed.
- Davison continues to look like he could be someone solid off our bench in a couple of years.
- Chapagnie looked ok when he wasn't trying to shoot.  for a 15th guy, we could do worse.
- Kornet overall did not look good.  some decent moments were outweighed by a number of moments that weren't good.
- Grant looked bad.  real bad.  he needs to get it together pronto.  C's are going to need the guy we had last year, not the guy we have right now in order to solidify their playoff run.

Yeah, that game was somewhere between the G-League and the NBA. Nice development game for JD Davison, little step up from what he’s used to, but definitely below a real NBA game.
