I like it Moranis great job..but I think the owners would have the final say so would they? Correct me if I’m wrong but if they do, I couldnt see Mets- Yankees, Cubs-White Sox owners agreeing to it cause they probably don’t want same city teams in same division..plus doubt Reds, Braves, Cardinals agreeing also cause they been in NL for ever
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Yeah I don't know if it would happen, but I think it would be cool.  If they do add 2 teams (which has been rumored), they'd pretty much have to redo everything so that might actually be the time to do it.  Adding 2 teams would take them to 32 so they'd likely do 4-team divisions.  Since that would be a massive undertaking it might be a good time to actually do a fullfledged realignment with East and West instead of NL and AL.

So I've redone the divisions with the A's in Vegas and the addition of Montreal and Nashville (2 of the favorites along with Charlotte and Portland - or Mexico City if they are feeling frisky).

EAST
1 - NY, NY, BOS, MON
2 - BAL, DC, PHI, PIT
3 - TB, MIA, ATL, NAS
4 - TOR, CLE, CIN, DET

WEST
1 - CHI, CHI, MIL, MIN
2 - TEX, HOU, KC, STL
3 - SEA, SF, LV, DEN
4 - LA, LA, SD, ARI

So every team in the East in that alignment is in the Eastern timezone and none of the teams in the West are in the Eastern timezone.  So from that perspective it makes a great deal of sense.  A lot more divisional travel in the West, but they are just less compacted so that really can't be avoided.

Angels scored 13 and then 8 in the 3rd and 4th inning today to lead 23-0 after 4. Through 6, it is 24-0.  Amazing offensive display.

The shut out is over at 25-1.  The major league record of 22-0 will stand.

Playoffs start tomorrow.  Amazing season for the Braves finishing with 104 wins. They tied the ML record with 307 homers. 3 guys hit 40 HR and they had 2 more at 33 or better. 4 guys with at least 100 RBI.  Acuna finished with 41 HR, 73 SB, hit .337 and scored 149 runs with 106 RBI.  One of the greatest all around seasons in history. He should be an unanimous MVP.  Strider finished 20-5 striking out 281 batters in 186.2 innings.  That is 3 more wins than next closest, 44 more K's than 2nd, and his over 13.5 K/9 is nearly 2 better than 2nd (and is the 4th best in history from qualifying pitchers).  He should be an unanimous Cy Young winner.  Strider is 24 and Acuna is 25.  They could do this for another decade if they stay healthy.  See if they can close out the season and win the championship

The Dodgers look pretty good...could run away with a title this year. Some redemption and all.

Braves nearly built themselves a massive hole. After losing game 1, 3-0, they started off game 2 being no hit through 5 and down 4-0, but they ended up scoring the last 5 runs, to even the series at 1.  They still have just 9 hits total in the 2 games.  Not a great start for one of the best offenses in the sports history.

Im at a casino rn, the Braves were +900 to win after they got down by 4 runs.

I figured a Philly choke was coming and seriously considered throwing down some dough. But i don't usually gamble,  so i held back.

Silly me.

Welp, Dodgers dropped both home games to Arizona. One away from elimination.

Dodgers with another choke year and early playoff exit, losing to the Diamondbacks.

Braves now down 2-1 to the Phillies. On the other bracket, looks like the two Texas teams are gonna square off. Might just be another Astros repeat.

Teams who had a 5+ day break are combined 4-9 so far with the Astros accounting for 3 of the wins.

Dodgers and orioles were both swept. These gaps can be tough for players who are used to playing daily.

MLB made their bed with this when they expanded the playoffs.

I'm sure FOX execs are thrilled with possibility of a Rangers-Diamondbacks World Series.    That'll really pull in eyeballs.

Yep. Phillies beat Braves.  Astros are the only higher seed to win.

Of all the higher seeds, the Astros are the one I really wanted to lose. Alas.
