I think Lamar's staying. I simply don't see why Baltimore and OBJ decide to "join forces" unless they know Lamar is coming back. It really doesn't sound like he has serious trade suitors either. He'll play it out with Baltimore (or at some point "hold out" in-season)

a cynic would say Baltimore did it to put pressure on Lamar and Odell did it for the money

I don’t think the lack of suitors means much right now.  If teams sign him after the draft, they don’t have to give up this year’s draft pick. That could be enticing for some franchise.

Jalen Hurts new contract is basically equal to or less than what the Ravens offered Lamar last year.

5 years, 255 million, 179 million guaranteed, with a no trade clause.

We will need to see when things are guaranteed and the final numbers on that stuff to know for sure, but it is looking like Lamar made a bad call to turn down the Ravens 5 years, 250 million with 200 million guaranteed last summer.

More out on the Hurts contract, just 110 million guaranteed at signing.  So way less than what Lamar was offered by the Ravens.

Ravens looking a whole lot better and Lamar looking like he doesn't know what he is doing.

Will Levis meeting with the Patriots.  Did Mac Jones kick Bill's dog or something?  I mean the disrespect Bill is showing Mac year after year is just weird.

How are the Ravens looking better? They don't have a starting QB and they don't appear to be close to signing Lamar. The Ravens are probably a 4-6 win team without him.

There will be more clarity in two weeks once QB needy teams have made their move.

IDK - it's due diligence.  Mac hasn't shown himself to be the definitive long-term answer at QB, so BB wonders (wouldn't you?), if Levis falls to 14, should we take him?  I doubt Bill is trying to orchestrate a move up to get him, but until we get the next iteration of Tom Brady, Bill should ALWAYS try to upgrade the most important position in sports.

It may be (maybe not) overblown to suggest that we know the psychological impact that is has on an individual to have to earn a starting role rather than be presumed the starter.  I think the biggest universal impact on a QBs psyche comes from whether he trusts his offensive line to give him time to think.  Far bigger impact than, 'does my coach like me?'.  But that probably depends on the individual.
