No clue. I'm guessing it's full of incentives though

Does it really move the needle that much for Baltimore?

Depends on what he looks like.

Their WR's are now - OBJ, Bateman, Agholor, Duvernay, Proche and a bunch of journeyman type guys.  They do have Andrews and 2 now 2nd year TE's in Kolar and Likely both with some potential.

If Bateman can stay healthy and OBJ is 80% of what he was, it could be a middle of the road type WR group, but both of those things are very big IF's.

And it is big money to OBJ

1.165 million base salary
13.835 million signing bonus
3 million in what are described as reachable incentives

so at least 15 million guaranteed.

A lot more than I would have liked to have paid, but at least they did something with the receiving group.

Yeesh. What an overpay. Glad he went to the Ravens.

definitely seems like an overpay, but if he actually has anything yet it could work out for Baltimore.  And Meyers was basically the best WR on the market available (other than OBJ).  It wasn't exactly like there were a whole lot of options out there.  It is just 1 year so no big commitment.  So if it doesn't work out, they can at least say they tried to find a #1 WR.

Also, Lamar seemed to like the move, so if signing OBJ gets Lamar back in Baltimore it was worth it no matter how much of an overpay it otherwise might have been (kind of like the Bucks trading for Jrue Holiday, which led to Giannis signing the 5 year extension - even without the title, having Giannis back made that move worthwhile).

Holy hell, that's a lot of money. Thank god Snyder is out.

BREAKING: Dan Snyder has reached an agreement in principle to sell the Washington Commanders to a group led by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Josh Harris.

The purchase price is $6 billion, a 700% increase from the $750 million Snyder paid in 1999.

The ownership group also includes billionaire Mitchell Rales and NBA legend Magic Johnson.

And it will be the highest price ever paid for a sports team.

Good riddance.

$6 billion.  Don’t let any franchise owner in any of the four major sports leagues ever cry poverty. They rake money in hand over fist.
