Patriots have to sign some receivers right? We may be staring at last place in division even if Rodgers doesn’t come to New York.

I have to see it to believe it. We need to trade for a #1 option like Hopkins and sign someone else to replace Meyers in the slot. But idk if they'll actually do it.

They got roughly $28M in cap space right now.  Trading for Hopkins shaves that down to under $10M and they have other needs.  Based on prior history, I think they go bargain shopping on WR and probably draft one.   Spread the cap space among other needs.

I think Bourne can give the Pats a lot of what Myers did. The year before last Kendrick had 800 yards receiving and 5TD’s. Last season Jakobi had 804 yards receiving and 6TD’s. I really hope the Pats don’t draft another WR in the earlier rounds. They took Thornton last year in the second round and we don’t even know if he’s going to make it in the league. Bill is terrible at finding WR’s in the draft, but he is good at finding O-lineman and DB’s, which are also positions of need.

Since when is Jakobi Meyers a big time weapon.  He is fine.  A nice solid #3 type receiver.  But big time weapon.  Come on.

Who said he is a big time weapon? I’m not seeing that anyone wrote that.

Read Rapoport’s tweet.

Yeah, that’s a bit over the top. He’s definitely a legitimate #2, though. 800+ yards and 6TD’s last year is good production.
I suppose maybe he is a 2, though I do suspect a lot of that production was inflated by basically being the only competent target.  There are certainly players behind him last year that are better than him.  I mean George Pickens had 3 less yards and he seems way better than Meyers.  Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, Cooks, Samuel, other Samuel, Watson, and several others had less yards than Meyers, but all seem like better receivers.    So high end 3 or low end 2 seems about right.  Now maybe having a more competent coaching staff, a better QB, and better receiving teammates will unlock Meyers, or maybe not and he is basically what he is.

Saints restructured Michael Thomas’ contract, reaching agreement on a one-year, $10 million deal that has a max value of $15 million, per source. Thomas staying in New Orleans.

Aaron Rodgers has provided the NY Jets with a wish-list of free agents he would like them to target and acquire, per sources.
It includes Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Marcedes Lewis and….Odell Beckham Jr.

Lol.  God that guy is a goober.  Jets should just go after Lamar and focus on their current wideouts.

Schefter put out a report providing more information on the Ravens offer to Lamar in September.  It had previously been released that the contract Lamar turned down had 133 fully guaranteed at signing (it was 250 m over 5 years total), but Schefter provided some additional information.  Apparently there was 175m injury guaranteed and 200m fully guaranteed over time.  Lamar tweeted something cryptic about it, but also didn't deny the reporting.

There is a reason no team is going after Lamar if those things are all true.

Why are the Pats extending any type of offer on Myles Bryant?? That dude was a complete bum and possibly worst DB in the AFC last year. They should be kicking him to the curb and praying some other team is dumb enough to sign him

Idk, but the Lazard interest has been reported by multiple people. Russini also isn't someone that "knows nothing" and puts stuff out there hoping it sticks. She's tuned in and is very solid

Waller to the Giants for a 3rd rounder.

Why for LV?

Schefter Re-tweeted this, so I thinks it’s likely accurate. Rodgers is becoming the Kyrie Irving of the NFL. Completely obnoxious.
