Patriots aren't good. He should sign with a contender.

Any bad will that was caused by him going to TB would immediately be erased if he signed here. Pretty much everybody except Mac Jones should be all about this.

Yeah, it would kind of be like when LeBron went back to Cleveland. Hopefully the Pats could make some moves to show him they’d be able to compete for a title. Maybe he could even convince Gronk to do it all one more time.

Could convince Edelman to come back too

Why would Brady want to go back? Pats are a mess from the top down. He’s better off staying put in TB or going to the Niners.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If it involves a rejig of the coaching staff (bye bye Patricia) and some FAs getting interested, sure.

The Pats might be the worst fit for him. Weak receiving corps, average (or below) line, and scar tissue with Belichick. The Pats are in a rebuild.

SF is his best choice for next year, IMO.

He might actually be worse than Mac next year, but even if he isn't, he isn't going to make that garbage offense any good (even with a different play caller).  And even if the Patriots offense wasn't garbage, why would he want to deal with Bill again?  Bill is a very large reason why he left.

I'd say in order the top 5 most likely things for Brady for next year are:

1. Stay with Bucs
2. Retire
3. Sign with Vegas
4. Sign with Niners
5. Sign with Dolphins

And I put the top 2 choices at around 45% each (or 90% combined).
I was finally wrong. Boston not only didn't win in 5, but didn't win at all.

In a rebuild with a defense you can compete for a title with right now is not a great place to be.

There's absolutely zero chance of him doing it. Been there done that. No upside.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

It must have felt good to call the Pats offense garbage 2x in the same post.

put #1 at 80% by itself.  can't see him blowing up his marriage to unretire for just a season.

I think of that whole thing differently.  I think he retired to try to save his marriage and then realized he couldn't save it, so he went back to football both because he still wanted to play but also because he wanted the distraction.
