Seth Curry too!

The Boone brothers in baseball were third generation pros.  Bret was a legit MVP candidate for a few years.

There are a bunch of solid second generation players in the NBA now…Nance, Hardaway, Payton…
Yup

Lebron apparently told Dennis Schroder that he intends to play until he's 45.  No thank you.  Make it stop.

Sure....draft Bronny....

Then trade his rights (along with old man Lebron) to the highest bidder.

Take that Player Empowerment!

Yeah, there are a ton of second generation NHL players right now, include the sons of villains Claude Lemieux and Tie Domi.

There are a lot of families in sports, both the same sport and other sports.  I mean Ronald "Popeye" Jones sons are Jared Seth Jones, who is the Captain of the Blackhawks, and Caleb Jones, who also currently plays for the Blackhawks, so the brothers are together at the moment.  When you actually look into it, it happens a lot more than people think.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah, genetics + growing up around the game + wealth for camps and other training is a pretty significant leg up.

No way. I don’t want LeBron in any way associated with the Celtics, or anywhere near the team.

This. It would be the LeBron Celtics, with Bron calling all the shots and throwing people under the bus, etc.  HUGE no thanks.

LeBron James is 37 and turns 38 on 12/30. He has been dominating the league for a long time, but that is almost certainly over, and while he is so physically imposing that it seems possible he will still be a viable player at 40, 41 or even 42, the descent will become steeper from here.

Bad things happen when a player with an ego that big loses perspective. This doesn't sound like it will end well.

I saw that - wouldn't that be horrendous?

... or maybe not. We've seen in the last 12 months another all-time great seriously tarnish his reputation in Cristiano Ronaldo. Maybe LeBron might do the same? Whilst simultaneously burning the Lakers to the ground.

Yeah, genetics + growing up around the game + wealth for camps and other training is a pretty significant leg up.

One of the interesting ones is Henry and Mike Bibby.  Henry and Mike’s mom divorced when Mike was young leading to Mike stating later that his father was not a part of his life.  The two apparently connected and developed a relationship in Mike’s adulthood.   But it seems that genetics may have been the primary factor in Mike’s athletic development.  The Bibby family produced quite a few professional athletes.
Eddie House, btw, is married to Mike’s sister. The Bibby family has produced a number of pro athletes.
