He hung up the skates today.  19 seasons, all with the Bs.  One Stanley Cup, two other trips to the Finals, the best regular season in history.

Put #37 in the rafters.

Helluva career.  Really wish he had ended up with more than one cup.

One team, entire career. Don't see that much anymore.

I am a big hockey fan, still play in pick up.  Bergeron was a great player.  Hard to replace.

He's a tough one to lose for Bs fans. Glad to see him retired with the team, though.

NOOOOOOOOO.

So bittersweet. He's getting older and I'm sure his body has taken a beating, but he's so good and so fun to watch. The Bruins are going to be a lot worse this season, I think — though maybe that's a good thing, as they won't have the pressure of "best team ever" hanging over them.

So, he's "only" a three time all-star.  HOF worthy?

To me, absolutely yes, and on the first ballot.
