Good game.

Hate that ending though.

yeah that def holding call basically won the game for KC.  It wasn't an obvious call.
Those refs basically decided the super bowl on a really bad call that handed the title to one team.
Embarrassingly bad for the NFL.  Not one commentator on Fox said a thing on camera.  insane.

Are Eagles players and fans going to complain like the Bills last season. It's not fair, we should have had another chance. First OT, now the last two minutes of regulation.

Loathe the game ending in that fashion. Ugh

People can complain about that call, but what if it wasn’t called, and somehow the Chiefs failed to score, and then the Eagles were able to kick a game-winning FG? People would be going nuts. I understand that people don’t want games decided by late penalties, and I agree that it’s not ideal, but there’s an easy way to avoid that: don’t commit penalties.

Besides, many of us here are Pats fans, and it wasn’t that many years ago that the Pats won a playoff game because a Chiefs player lined up offsides.

Plus, Philly got away with a false start earlier in the second half, and a KC fumble-recovery TD was overturned because the NFL still doesn’t know what a catch is.

Between the non-catch for Davonte Smith and that holding call, the Eagles didn’t get any favors.

Well, a big reason the Eagles were in the Super Bowl was a Smith noncatch in the NFC title game that was ruled a catch, so I guess it evened out.

No, they would not be, because it would join the several non-calls on holding infringements that happen on every single down

This just in: Bradberry, the Philly player who committed the penalty, said it was a hold and he was hoping the refs didn’t see it. Interestingly, he got away with an obvious hold earlier in the game.

Chiefs fans, at least, would be going nuts.

because he pulled the jersey and that is called almost every time. You can't pull the jersey

For as vaunted as the PHI D was coming into Super Bowl, they had a pretty horrible game.

Yeah, they couldn't get any pressure at all.

As an aside that may or may not be related:  It was interesting that so many of the Eagles players made cleat changes, while none of the Chiefs did.  Is that due to better equipment managers?  Or because the Chiefs had played on that stadium earlier this year and knew what to expect?

The field was an absolute joke.  Apparently, KC had complained to the league about the field after their season opener.   Although, I think this was all brand new sod but maybe the tray underneath the turf is part of the problem.   Someone on Twitter last night was saying that the league painted everything on that field last night, including the green parts which would be utterly insane if so.

NFL should be ashamed of that field last night.  Biggest game of the season and players sliding all over the place.

It was.  Pretty embarrassing.  If they are going to have a crappy field in "pristine" conditions, I wish they'd just play some of these games in places like Chicago, Cleveland, etc.  They play football in the weather, I want to see a weather Superbowl.

I can't disagree, though I think the NFL provided a uniquely entertaining game - which, as a bottom line, is most important.  This was an avoidable problem, but despite the field conditions and a controversial call at the end, I have to credit the league for providing entertainment.   Both teams had to deal with the turf issue as they would have had to deal with a weather issue - which sometimes can impact one team a lot more than another.
