For the Pats, my biggest wants were OL, DB, or DL.  Thought they got great value between trading down and then also ending up with Gonzalez.

100%. Will be interesting to see what Bill does tomorrow.

Gonzalez looks real good:

Beautiful.

When they traded down I thought "ugh, here comes another Cole Strange or random guy we've never heard of". But Gonzalez is a STUD. A top-10 talent, and quite a few mock drafts even had him going Top-7 somewhere. Best CB in the Draft and potentially a premium addition to a roster that doesn't have much of that besides maybe Stevenson and Judon.

Another thing too is, Jets were very likely taking Broderick Jones at 15, but by trading down and letting the Steelers pick at 14, they took him instead and Jets had to pivot elsewhere

Hope they can get another receiver (WR/TE) or OT. Or both of them in the next few rounds lol. That'd be sweet.

An un-Belichick selection in the sense that this is not a 2nd or later round attempted ‘find’ but a no-brainer, ‘can’t believe he’s still there’ selection. Usually post draft (I realize it’s just 1 selection) I’m convincing myself that the relative unknown pick(s) who the experts think would have been available a round later is really going to be OK.  Today it feels like they stole a Day 1 starter who shouldn’t have been available at 14 never mind 17. And… got themselves an extra 4 rounder.

I saw Gonzalez at 7 in a number of mocks, and as high as #3 in one.

Now let’s see BB maneuver his 11 remaining picks to strengthen O-line and WR in particular.

Keion White looks like a very angry & peeved off dude.

I love it.  DL. Fills a need.

He didn’t look too happy about being drafted by NE. Lol.

Defense. Defense. Defense.

1st 3 picks.  Very surprised. No WR. No O-line. They have a bunch of 4ths and 6ths. Probably grab a bunch of O-linemen tomorrow.

I’m fine with front 7 but a bit surprised they haven’t addressed OL yet.

Same. The O-line was trash last year and they are essentially just running it back. I don’t get it.

Sooo, the defense will be good but the O-line will still be trash and Mac will get hammered again?
