Could someone please confirm precisely how far above the lux tax line the Cs are now (assuming JB doesn't make the All-Star team as a replacement)? 2 TPs to whoever does -- thanks.
I'd like to know too.
According to Spotrac the C'ss are currently $-2,777,853 over the cap with JB's $1,928,571 likely to be earned incentives.
It has been reported that this consists of 2 components.
All-Star (or all NBA, All Defense, MVP, DPOY) at approx. $1.4M - JB made the All-Star team last year.
Games played (65 games) approx. $500k - JB's 58 games last year prorated to 66 games.

There was also a report that the games played incentive is tied to the All-Star. So all or nothing. Other reports don't tie them together.

So, no precise, no TP, but I have been searching for weeks for a definitive answer.

1. Celtics trade Schroder and Langford to Chicago for Coby White and Matt Thomas.

2. Celtics trade Dozier + cash to OKC for Protected 2nd round pick

3. Celtics trade Nesmith and Freedom to OKC for Kendrich Willams

4. Celtics trade Langford, Fernando, and a 2nd round pick to DET for Hamidou Diallo.

I like these moves, but we still need some back up size ofr our bigs and I think OKC would want draft capital for  3  to happen.   I like 1 the most  but not sure if I would want Thomas.

re: 3.... I dunno about that. Williams is a nice player, but Nesmith has more upside. Nice for OKC tto net a recent lottery pick in their continued long-term plan.

re: 1 -- has to work that way for the Bulls to stay under the lux tax.

footnote: could a deal built around Smart and John Collins ACTUALLY happen? I'm starting to wonder........

No Trades...."We like our guys".

I have a feeling this is how it’s gonna play out as well. Roster tweaking will be done during the offseason, with perhaps Brogdon as a realistic target.

Man, I really hope we don't trade anyone.

I've been saying this for about a year and a half now but; I feel like our core doesn't need THAT much tweaking. It just needed to get playtime together, learn to play without a big star, and fight through some adversity.

Imagine in 2 years, winning a title with JB, JT, RW3, Smart and Grant.

How sick would that be.

(I'm not saying that's going to happen. I know it's a stretch. I'm saying try to imagine making it with 100% homegrowns. How crazy would that be!!!)

I would love that. I would also like to add more scoring from the bench, preferably a shooter and a backup 7 footer.

Im game with all of these except the last one.

I’d love to get coby white for schroder

Wouldn't do the last one? Holding out hope Langford wakes up from his perpetual in-game nap? He makes Jeff Green look like Al Pacino.

I’m just not a diallo guy. I look at that as pretty lateral and unnecessary. I don’t hate Romeo, I could see him developing into a solid guy.

I'm going to make a modification to mine based on recent developments in a trade that doesn't involve the Cs. I'm going to replace #2 above with a different trade. So my new list is:

1. Celtics trade Schroder and Langford to Chicago for Coby White and Matt Thomas.

2. Celtics trade Fernando + cash to NOP for Protected 2nd round pick

3. Celtics trade Nesmith and Freedom to OKC for Kendrich Willams

4. Celtics trade Langford, Fernando, and a 2nd round pick to DET for Hamidou Diallo.

Disagree -- I think Diallo would be an excellent fit on the Cs.

I saw on a YouTube that Indy is open to dealing Hield. ( I dint know league rules on this stuff) Does anyone see a positive trade for both teams ? ( Celts snd Pacers). I can’t really make up a deal I believe both would do.

I don't think there's a salary match for us.

Romeo, Nesmith, and JRich works in trade machine but a massive overpay...
