Offensively reminds me of Aaron Brooks. Skinny but can get buckets, decent but not great passer.

Defensively he’s of the TJ McConnell / Matt Dellavedova mould. Should pick people up full-court whenever he checks in
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I actually think he’s a really good passer.  He makes some terrible decisions, but he can get it through some really tight windows and looks to have good court vision.  He’s not Rondo-level, but he’s more than capable of being a pure point guard from a passing perspective.  He’s 20 and trying to show off sometimes.

I’m excited.  I’m just tempering my excitement because of the international translation aspect.  I remember being very excited during Ante Zizic’ stash year.  He was putting up something near 20/10 on 70% shooting in Croatia, before he got transferred to a EuroLeague squad.  Then he came over, was part of the Kyrie deal, completely vanished in Cleveland, and now is in Yam’s league.

That said, I stand by what I said earlier — Yam’s improvement this season would make him a 1st round pick if he were in this year’s draft.

His 3 point shooting and passing seem to have really improved over the last 6-12 months. Great stuff

The shot looks good and if he can cut down turnovers he'll be a solid role player.

He definitely has NBA starter potential.  Not next year, but he has a higher ceiling than Pritchard.

I read on Twitter that for luxury tax / salary cap purposes it may be better for the Celts to bring Yam over on an NBA contract (or trade him), instead of leaving him stashed for another season.

Can someone explain that?  I guess it could simply be that he'll be a cheap option to fill out a roster spot.
