With all that has gone on with the work this has been by fare my deepest dive ever into any one draft. I'm excited to see what happens and to move past this batch of draft prospects and on to the 2021 class.

Along with tiers to look back on I thought it would be interesting to list the my 3 guys who I like the most / would love to see on the Celtics / think may be undervalued by the main stream as well as my 3 please Danny stay away from them guys.

1. Xavier Tillman: Would absolutely thrive here. If his 3PT shot is as developed as it looks he's destined for mini-Horford levels.

2. Sam Merrill: Teams seem scared off by his age, but he has every offensive tool you could want. If he goes to the right place it could set him up for a decade of bench scoring.

3. Leandro Bolmaro: A few weeks ago I compared him to Tomaś Satoransky, and that would be perfect for us. Tall combo guard willing to take a few years overseas.

3 dislikes:
1. Cole Anthony

2. Jaden McDaniels

3. Killian Tillie
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)

SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Honestly I find it hard to point out guys I don't like at all, seems like most of the first round guys have a pretty high floor

Agree. It’s a whole draft filled with role players.

I know absolutely nothing about college basketball, international basketball, or any of the players in this draft.  At most I've seen a few highlight reels.  My deepest thought about this field of prospects is wondering whether Johnny Cash could have written a song about a boy named Prescious.

I am as always impressed by the knowledge of posters.

Could a poll be developed to identify a CStrong consensus to help people like me with something to root for tomorrow night?  I always enjoy the draft but I never have a clue about anyone we draft -- of course by the end of the night I'm usually excited to have whoever Danny selected.

Also -- I'm interested in your own personal draft history -- which of you can legitimately claim to have a strong history with hits and relatively few misses?   Which of you are more throwing darts at a board v. those who are students of the draft and have attained in-depth knowledge of these prospects?

I'm too lazy to dig it up, but pretty sure there was a thread on this within the last few months ... e.g. hits and misses.  I know because I remember missing big on JR Giddens ;-)

@Neurotic Guy

I'm pretty good at identifing underrated players. Cam Johnson last year, Brogdon, Devonte Graham, Kuzma are some examples of guys I like early that climbed boards late and became good pros.

This year was high on Jalen Smith before most, now some mocks have him in the lottery. Same with Banes who has now climbed from 2nd rounder to first. I am now promoting Josh Green, Zeke Nnaji and Quickley as guys to also target.

For higher picks I had Murray over Brown their draft but was okay with either selection. I had Tatum a better fit than Fultz. I had KD over Oden.

So I do okay but I'm not perfect. A huge recent miss was Herro. Wasn't a fan felt Bryce Brown was a better shooter and fit. Well Bryce went undrafted (he is ok in Gleague 42% 3pt) while Herro is a homerun right now. I was alao big on James Young but wanted Garry Harris over him. Young never grew.

I base most my picks on production, skills and measurables by age. So when some guys like Herro (or say Maxey and McDaniels this year) show skill but not a lot of production it's hard for me to bang the table for them. I'm trying to always adjust.
