Killian Tillie.

Really hope we do not pick him. Don't rate him at all
Please explain why not. Thank you.
Sure. Primarily, his health is a huge concern. The last two seasons he's had injuries that have caused him to miss big chunks. He had a stress fracture in his ankle and a partially torn plantar fascia in his junior year, and in his senior year he had a preventative knee procedure. He also has recurring ankle concerns and ongoing knee soreness. I don't see him having a long career nor one where he can play big minutes.

I also don't particularly rate his playing. He's a very low-usage guy who shoots it well, but doesn't have much, if any ability to create for himself at the NBA level. He's merely an okay passer, is too weak to defend lots of 5s and is too slow to defend quite a few 3s. He's got a solid touch but he's negated by top-level athletes (ie the NBA) too much at the rim. He's not fast and doesn't have any vertical pop really.
What he does have going for him is his attitude and his BBIQ, but I think we can find much better sleepers than him

I think Killian Tillie is a solid risk at 30. His health for me is the major concern. If healthy , and it's a big if he's an NBA player. I would compare him farvoable toMaxi Kleber and our own Kelly Olynyk. At 30 getting a first big off the bench is a steal. Tillie is a skilled big with crazy range and a beautiful jumper. He is a high risk because of injury history but the talent is there.
He's quite similar to Kelly Olynyk on offence, but he's smaller and weaker. But he's definitely not at the level of Kleber defensively.

Tillie averaged 4.6 rebounds per game as a 6'10" forward playing 20MPG. That is not someone I want near this team

You are right about Tillie on defense but his rebounding is right there with Maxi's 4.4 rebounds a game career average.
Sure, in the NBA. Pre-NBA, in Europe, Kleber averaged 6RPG, and in the seasons he played legitimate minutes he averaged 6.5. I don't think it's fair to compare Tillie's rebounding in college to Kleber's rebounding in the NBA

There is no way to compare the rebounding numbers  but they are not too far off. When you are a 3 point shooting big your rebounding numbers are going to be lower. I still say that if and granted it's a big if, Tillie will be a useful NBA player if he can stay healthy. He's one of the best three point shooters in this draft.
I really don't think that he's one of the best 3 point shooters in the draft. His highest amount of three point attempts per game is 3.8 - less than the amount of threes Aaron Nesmith and Markus Howard made per game this last season, and barely more than the 3s made by guys like Isaiah Joe. Way too little shots attempted for me to say he's near the level of the many elite shooters in this draft
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

In four years he shot 44% on 239 3s and his stroke is beautiful. He is a risky pick no doubt but if he can stay healthy a steal at 30.

The new additional to the list are interesting in that they seem to be establishing a pattern of focusing on some older and perhaps more NBA ready college players.

Prichard, is a player who have really like for a couple of seasons. In the 2nd round he is a really interesting pick for the Cs. I fully expect him to make it as an NBA backup PG and be able to provide a spark off the bench. At 6'2 190 he should have enough size to not be a total liability on D. If properly utilized he has a real chance to be a valuable scoring option off the bench. If drafted in the 2nd round he and Waters will make for an interesting camp battle.

Killian Tillie, if it wasn't for his injury history Tillie would be a likely top 20 pick. He is probably the best shooting 6'9+ player in this class. He is also a really high IQ player capable who is an excellent passing big. He is likely NBA ready but how long he will physically hold up in the NBA is the big red flag.

Naji Marshall, he is a play I admittedly have not researched much. On the surface it is immediately clear why DA has interest in him. His reported measurements are almost identical to Jaylen Browns, 6'7 220 with a 7'ws. These are ideal wing measurements. He has not been a good 3pt shooter in college at 28% this past season but it is encouraging that he attempted 5 per game. Watching him play he (like Smart early on) seems confident shooting despite poor %. His really calling card seems to be his high level defense and his ability to play the point forward. He is clearly a player I need to look further into and will be adding him to draft board. It is easy to see how a team like the Cs who have a track record of improving 3pt shooting % would be really interested in Marshall.  A good article on him https://www.thestepien.com/2020/01/24/case-naji-marshall/

I like all three of those players. Prichard looks solid. THose three guys coming off our bench would be a big up grade. There are a lot of solid bench players that could be had in this draft.

Added Grant Riller to the list another older college player who could likely contribute right away. Potential is there to be a spark plug type bench scorer

Liking the risk more.

Limit of 10 workouts will hurt us given the 3 first round picks.

I'll be happy with Tyrell.

I love Paul Reed's game: I'd be happy to take him at 26.

Really interesting Cs have interviewed Jay Scrubb a second time.

I will be curious to see if they have him in for one of their ten workouts

Me too.

I'd love to add Paul "Jerami Grant" Reed to the C's with a late first....

Looks more and more like, Danny is going to draft him with one of the picks

The 10 workout limitation really hurts the Celtics, who, unlike the other teams, have 3 first round slots, not to mention the draft capital to trade up significantly. That covers a very wide range of players.

I don't think its fair the Celts can only workout 10 players for 4 draft spots

Should allow double the players
