Disappointing loss. Boston's D made some mistakes, and those two goals Halak allowed through the 5-hole were soft, IMO.

The Marchand goals were sweet, but ultimately the Lightning just outplayed the B's most of the game. Can't say they didn't deserve the win after that. The thing that really annoys me is how our defense never tries to clear the puck. That's also how they lost in OT. Halak could do a little better but it's not like he's been bad so far this series, but the defense in front of him has to help him better. That 1st goal they gave up looked so bad by our defense lol

Anyways, huge Game 3 tonight. Still not sure why on earth they have to play two sets of back-to-backs this series. Are they in a huge rush to get this playoffs over with before October?

Such a brutal game to watch last night.  Totally outclassed.  Not a good sign for their chances in this series at all.  I hope they can turn it around next game, but my confidence in them is shot right now.

I really felt watching the game that the Bruins weren't all there. Wonder if notjoining the boycotting put them in a bad mind set going into the game.

It's not just the NBA but a few teams across sports have talked boycotts and I know some Bruins did protest before returning to play.

Yuge momentum swing in the last 2 games. Started in the 3rd period of game 1.

I think the B's need a better defensive showing overall if they are going to get back into it. I'm more worried about these ragtag Dmen tripping over themselves than the Krejci line's lack of scoring. That includes Krug, who gets props for scoring/moving the puck.

I don't anticipate as many penalties against the B's next game. If they start playing defense, Halak should be ok, and the goal scoring should come. Big game coming up.

Horrible performance in Game 3. Boston could've (IMO should've) won Game 2 but let it slip away, then this shellacking ... could be another "win 1, then lose 4" situation.

Welp, looks like that's the end of the Bruins season.

Just like 2018, play well and win Game 1, then lose the next 4 to Tampa.

Ritchie is absolutely USELESS. Our defense has also been mediocre for much of this series. But what really sums it up is, since the end of regulation of Game 2, the B's have scored just 2 goals. Lightning have scored 11.

I get the refs at times have made some bogus penalty calls against the B's, but the B's even on Power Plays or just in general look lifeless a majority of the time. Sad thing is I thought Halak was actually fantastic today and kept us in it, but evidently the team in front of him really let him down.

The Lightning were already a talented and deep team, but they also made great moves at the trade deadline while the B's added Kase (who has promise and is pretty good, not great yet), and Ritchie who is proving to be a complete dud. What they probably needed was another goal-scorer and they didn't acquire one.

"Win 1, lose 4" is what Boston does best lol.

Wish they had won Game 7 in the Finals last year. Don't know when the Bruins will be relevant again.

It really is too bad. Remember when Marchand scored that tying goal in the 3rd period of game 2? At the time, I was actually already thinking about the series win with a 2 games to none lead. It's crazy how much a difference one goal can make to an entire series. It's not over, but the Bs really need to gain back the momentum and fast.

TB just appears to be the better team.  They have more depth of top end talent, and while Halak has been good, he needed to be great.

I suppose it ain't over until it's over, but I can't see the B's turning this series around.

Nice they're showing some signs of life.  They controlled play most of the OT.  Come out strong and finish this thing in the 2nd OT!
Yup

Unreal..our player gets tripped in their zone right in front of ref with no call and TB goes down and wins game..What a wasted season for the Bruins.
