I have a feeling that this season will be EPIC. Even PP and KG stated that they sense something special this season.

We are down a lot of men but we will scratch and claw and fight until the last man is standing. Maybe we win it all this season or maybe not. But we all go down together.

The future of the Cs is already here (rondo, sully, green) but the old guard will show them the way.

Go Cs.

Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Historically, the actual fighting at the Alamo was over real quick and nothing like in the movies. They caught us sleeping, they had guys holed up in a fort and shelled the heck of them with superior firepower, then charged when senties were asleep.   Some accounts say the battle was over in less than twenty minutes.

Custer's Last Stand was the same way not much of a stand at all.  Rorke's Drift was a real last stand.

Our guys have put up a valiant fight but I do not think they are the '69 Celtics, who won a title against long odds.   They will go down swinging but at this point we are running out of guys and seem cursed.

I think it's next year that will be the "last stand" for KG and Pierce, not this year. Yes, I believe they'll be on the Celtics next year and yes, I believe, Terry, Lee, Green, Bass, Rondo and Sullinger will be back to help them. Melo will be able to contribute a little and the c's will have signed a competent PF/C with the MLE to back up KG. That's what I believe, today.

I was feeling pretty good about our chances to make a little run, but then Barbosa got hurt.  He was a big part of what was succeeding for us in the wake of Rondo's injury.  He's a better scorer than Rondo and his contributions were huge off the bench.   I felt like we could have maybe moved into a 6th seed or something and avoided Miami in Round 1.  Possibly could have snuck into the 2nd round.  Now I'm worried again.

Could be. :) I just don't believe it will be this year. KG and Pierce still have a lot left in their tanks. I don't see either of them retiring after this year, and I do see the C's having enough talent on the team so continually "reloading is a good option.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I think the Final Stand is when PP and KG are on their final years of their contract.

I expect the same roster, with a little bit of help in the big man category. One final reload is what I'm looking for I guess.
