The playoffs were going to be tough enough with a healthy squad but with Smart's oblique injury and Tatum's shin injury, the odds of the Celtics winning the 1st round matchup with the Pacers and going deep in the playoffs have taken a big hit.

Last I heard, Tatum wasn't ruled out for the playoffs.  Smart's status for the playoffs is to be determined at that time but at the time worst case was missing a couple of games.

even without Tatum and Smart, C's should have more than enough talent to beat Indy and that's without considering home court advantage.

Even if Smart missed the whole first round, we should be able to win - even Pacers fans feel that way. With no Oladipo, this is the first round match-up we wanted. If we lose, then we have much bigger problems.

No worries, they have others who can jack ill-advised 3's.
Still don't believe in Joe.

Brown should be able to fill in well for Tatum. Hopefully, he's healthy. Unfortunately, that means Morris gets additional minutes.

Smart being out is a different matter entirely, he's the heart of a team that lacks in that area.

What a year...

They d have to chain Smart to a pole to keep him out of the playoffs.

So I am going to assume that Terry starts at the sg spot and Morris will start at the SF spot, because, the only 2 players better than them at those positions are Tatum and Smart.

And got to help them 2 get big contracts.

Terry and Morris will combine for 30+shots a games.

Smart would be missed a lot more than Tatum.

Tatum's fine. Smart fortunately avoided a big injury and I think even worst case scenario is him just missing a game or two to start the Pacers series. We should be able to beat the Pacers even without him for some time though. I'd hope that we're 100% healthy though for the 2nd round and beyond.

I mean... to be fair I found out just now (which was a real bummer to hear). I don't even think Ainge and Smart knew it was this serious until the results actually came out. I was just going by what Ainge said this morning  :P
