Up and down the lineup this team was great

Mook is Money!!!

Jayson made sure this team got off to a great offensive start.

William's showed the potential we all thought he had. Hopefully he can shine more this year and grow more.

Smart was a defensive monster tonight.

Rozier with just an Excellent all around performance.

Jaylen forced it in the first half but stay aggressive and had a tremendous second half.

I applaud the effort by all.

Please explain to me this new idiotic "TimeLord" nickname for Williams ?

It’s the lamest nickname in the history of NBA basketball. Time lord is the type of alien “Doctor Who” is.  It’s a long running BBC sci fi show that’s been going since the 1960s.  It’s for children.  He travels through space and time.  They look like this:

Robert missed his first press call because he got confused by a central time zone - so some folks jokingly started calling him Time Lord because time lords perceive time differently in the show.  Most people calling him time lord don’t realize how dorky it is and that it was a nickname created to make fun of Robert being an idiot.

but it sounds cool
only if you’re one of the millions of people not familiar with Doctor Who.  It’s super nerdy.  It’s like calling him Klingon.

So only nerds find it nerdy.  I can live with that.
There’s millions of Doctor Who fans.  Most of them would just find it strange that you are comparing Robert Williams to Jodi Whittaker.

The guys on twitter who came up with the nickname created it to make fun of Robert.  It’s a nickname teasing him about his inability to keep track of time.  Hence comparing him to a space alien in a sci fi show.  It’s a running joke and the fact that the media is running with it without realizing what it is just makes the troll funnier.

You are taking this, perhaps, too literally.
Not really.  It was a nickname created by someone specifically to make fun of Robert.

I’d find it equally silly if they had started calling him “White Rabbit” and then the media ran with it not realizing it was an Alice In Wonderland reference making fun of Robert always being late.

Have a beer.  We played well tonight and won.

More like Worf, or Kahless the Unforgettable (legendary Klingon hero)!

I'll take my nerdy Trekkie arse and sit down now.  ;D
no... worf and kahless are specific characters.  Time lord refers to all the old white stuffy British aliens from the planet gallifrey.  They look like this:

Not all aliens from gallifrey are called time lords.  It’s a special council that control time and space.

If anything, it’s like calling an NBA player “Jedi”, but significantly more nerdy.

I just wanted to express my Star Trek street cred, man. Don’t ruin this for me.

Could see Williams getting into the rotation soon, especially against athletic bigs.

Was really impressed how he was not overwhelmed playing extensive minutes vs AD. AD schooled him a couple of times but that was to be expected.

When has a Celtic blocked two of his shots?

Pels swept us last year. Nice to return the favor.

Williams will be a good situational player against long front lines. He looked very good tonight.

23 assists tonight, felt like we had more. Hammered them on the boards though 51-39.

I'm just happy to see LB back engaging us with very specific examples and explanations on various subjects. This place can get boring with all the generalities...and I know I sure do not help.

Time Lord is cultural appropriation.  Let the brits keep their dorky traditions.

So let’s take it a step further.  If we follow the lead of naming Robert “timelord” after Doctor Who, what other fictional alien species represent our players?  Who is the Vulcan?  Who is the Wookie?  Who is the na’vi?  Who is the xenomorph?  Who is the tribble?
