The guys paying Irving's salary seemed fine with him not showing up.
His job right now is to get healthy so he can contribute next year. Im a little dissapointed he didnt find a way to get to the game last night to support his teammates, but I don't think this is something worth making a big deal over. His teammates seem to love him and surgery seems like a reasonable enough excuse to me.

They're paid to fulfill their contractual obligations. Being a cheerleader isn't one of those obligations. It's not like having Kyrie on the sidelines would have stopped Rozier from missing all his threes or LeBron from wrecking worlds.
