2019 Historical Draft Thread(TIME TO REVEAL THE WINNER!!!)

I like the KG pick.  I think he went right about the right spot.  But #5 overall is interesting.  Were you for or against the Kawhi pick?  KG never put an entire team on his back to a title.  And I think both players have shown they are the kind of player who can adapt to play very well with other superstars. 

I think both players were second rounders, but I can't understand KG at #5 if you don't have Kawhi within +/- 2 picks of him.

I don't think Kawhi even deserved to be in the top 2 or 3 rounds tbh lol. Really not high on his skillset as a cornerstone player on teams made up of all time players. And read up on KG's squads in Minny-they were a special kind of bad. Btw KG is much more scalable on great teams than Kawhi up to now.

I had Kawhi as early to mid 2nd.

I had KG so high because of how he could influence games without the basketball. I view Kawhi differently. He is a scorer / stopper. KG is a defensive anchor / facilitator on offense.

I looked at KG like a Bill Russell figure. Not as good on D but better offense. And KG played PF so I could put a center next to him (deepest position in the draft - some incredible guys still on the board).

I loved the idea of having two defensive anchors and a strong perimeter D to try and counteract the incredible offenses all these teams are going to build.

It'll be interesting to see how younger people's team (like myself) will compare to some of the older folks and their team. It'll be cool to see the differences in team building philosophy.

What age range are you in?

I'll be a freshman at college this fall, so yeah, I'm definitely one of the youngest here.

I saw Somebody's draftboard days ago and can confirm, he had KG at #5. I actually think around 13-16 is about right for Garnett. I am not sure I would want Garnett being my first selection, though Somebody is up again in two more picks so maybe it doesn't matter.
