Well guys the playoffs are here, figure I'd make a thread for discussion as it's the playoffs and reg season thread didn't seem fitting.

It's the best time of year for us basketball fans looks like I'm going to be a couch potato this weekend ;D

Excellent ... great to have an all-purpose playoffs thread up and running.

---------------------------

I'd like to see Indiana start Mike Dunleavy instead of Paul George against the Bulls.

Keith Bogans is not an offensive threat so they can comfortably play an offensive orientated player like Dunleavy without hurting their defense significantly ... and Dunleavy provides much more consistently effective offensive play than the streaky (albeit explosive) Paul George does at this juncture in his career.

Hibbert and Hansborough are tough inside.  Boozer and Noah looked overmatched right now.

This series could be tough

I haven't liked the shots that Danny Granger has taken.

Granger is letting Luol Deng's defense dictate too much out there. Deng deserves a lot of credit here. He has been doing a terrific job on Granger so far.

It is going to be a very difficult series for Indiana if Granger cannot be a quality go-to scorer for them.

If Indiana can win the inside and Collison can offset some of Rose's scoring.

Then Granger and Deng can be a wash and the Pacers have a good chance of winning the series.

I agree all he's been doing is settling for jump shots.  Except on that last possession where he took it in and lost the handle.

I hope Collison has a big series battling with Rose.

3 fouls on Boozer and 2 on Rose and they are down 5.  Chicago looks terrible when Rose sits.

Wow Granger has really been choking it up out there.  Indiana needs him badly.  Rose is getting to the rim way too easily.

Darren Collison can't guard Rose ... and Indy's interior team defense has been very mixed.

Hasnbrough has quickness but no size. He can't bother Rose at the rim. Hibbert has size and length but not quickness. He can't bother Rose on PnRs or in transition or cover much ground on interior defensive rotations.

Derrick Rose is going to have a huge series.

Will Rose be able to keep up this pace driving the basketball.

What do you mean Hansborough has no size? He just dunked the basketball right over Noah and Thomas

ARE YOU KIDDING ME CRAWFORD.  Can't let Rose come close to foul trouble.

It's impossible for them to stop Rose without fouling him.  You can't really block his shot, he's too quick for you to take the charge, and his touch is so nice combined with his strength that it's really tough to affect his shot.
