1 - I think that Horford plays better starting as the 4, rather than the 5. See the Baynes Horford lineups last year.

2 - I have also noticed that Williams, who still has some shortcomings (offense and rebounding), truly effects the opponent's interior offense. Not just his shot blocking - he alters shots or even prevents shots from going up.

I propose starting Williams at the 5 to shut down interior offense - Smart on the perimeter.

I think adding Morris back to bench will strengthen it.

Williams/Theis/Baynes*
Horford/Morris/Yabusele
Tatum/Hayward/Ojeleye
Smart/Brown/Lemon
Irving/Wanamaker/Rozier

There must be issues with Robert starting that we are not aware of. Maybe issues with defending pick and roll or switching? Otherwise I'm sure Brad would have done it already.  I refuse to believe he's as stupid as some here think
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Williams really does effect the play in the paint when ever he plays. I'm not sure if he should start but he should get more time against some of these really athletic young NBA centers. Williams plays hard, brings good energy and he's really big and long.

Let's try a more traditional lineup that provides more rebounding.

Kyrie
Tatum
Morris
Horford
Williams

I still believe Tatum can play in the backcourt and provide an advantage with his length on defense.

The reason Williams doesnt start is because he's a rookie. Somewhat inexperience  but there's almost no chance because of his rookie  status

Williams has mentioned his own struggles with grasping defensive rotations and switches.  Overall he has looked solid in short spurts.  One of the benefits of a reserve role is that he can impact the game with energy alone.  It would be normal to expect diminishing returns as the minutes increase.

There's also the potential that he isn't comfortable running some of the offensive sets.

Yes. Our interior defense on the road is awful.

No.
How many minutes until he fouls out?
a more consistent role for the transcendent Time Lord, absolutely
