So if Sac is going to deal Boogie, they're going to need a marquee player in return.  Reason is they're moving into a new arena and need buzz.  Everyone in trade talks overlooks the business aspect.  Its the reason Danny was able to pull off the Pierce/KG deal.

So barring a 3 way deal, the only way this happens is if you start with IT for Boogie and then go from there - assuming they event would want IT back.

So if I'm Sac I'll do a Thomas, NJ 18 and pick one of Marcus Smart/Brown or Crowder for Boogie and some filler.

Would you do it?   Because that's what it would take.

Just listened to David Locke and Sam Amick...

Amick and Locke highlight Boogie's bad body language and bullying ways, both on and off the court...reminiscent of Kobe and the way he "ran" his team.

I don't know...the more I hear...and the more I think of the big picture...the more I think he is not a good fit for this team.

Kings lead Thunder 31-30 now in the 2nd.

Cousins has 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Wow dude is almost single handedly keeping the Kings ahead right now.

Yeah ended with 36 points and 13 rebounds (WOW)

Kings have won two straight against great teams though (Thunder and Raptors).

Not entirely out of the West Playoff Race yet.

Cousins just going off making four straight three pointers in a row in a comeback attempt that will fall short.

I'm afraid we're going to strike out on him because the asking price is too high.  They don't need to move him this year, even.  May be wiser not to if teams are trying to low-ball due to "locker room concerns."

I say take bogus and stick with draft. I like Boogie but I see a longer run of greatness with Smart, Brown, Rozier and AB. Thomas will always be a great 6 too.

I don't like matchups like Kings vs Brooklyn

I obviously want Brooklyn to lose every game...

But I also want the Kings to lose a bunch so they give up on Cousins.

This game is a lose/lose.

do they really gain anything by beating Brooklyn, though? It's only delaying the inevitable
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'd just assume that it will take a Sprewell-level incident to get them to give up on Cousins.

Yep.  I think the owner will see the numbers Cousins is putting up and assume the problem is with the rest of the team.  I think he'll really have to become unbearable to be traded.

The Kings are 7-10...

Cousins has literally willed himself to win 2 games against two really good teams recently... He will be able to do it again, but without Rudy Gay having one of his best career seasons statistically, I really don't see anyone else that would step to fill that 3rd scoring role.

The Kings winning games nowadays is actually a bad thing for those wanting DMC to demand a trade (or Kings to start going full rebuild).

Yesterday I'll give an exception to because its the Nets.. but this was supposed to be a brutal stretch for them but they've gotten some quality wins lately (Rockets, Raptors).

Kings about to lose another demoralizing one in Washington in OT.

It seems like they lose quite a bit of close ones late in the game. Reminds me of the Wolves the year before Love was traded.
