My big question at this point is what happened to Ty Cobb. I mean this guy is in the Hall but Pete Rose isn't?

Not only that, but Ty was in the Inaugural Class.  Different times, I guess.

Fascinating guy though...has a real case as the greatest baseball player ever, but by pretty much all accounts a despicable human being.

Well I have no qualms about putting a convicted rapist in a jerk poll, so I'll throw him in there.

My big question at this point is what happened to Ty Cobb. I mean this guy is in the Hall but Pete Rose isn't? Nowadays you'd get suspended for a season, the union would fight it, and you'd get half a season if you were a first time offender, really apologized, got therapy, and donated some money to PETA or something

I can't believe I forgot Vick

And no I haven't heard Tyson's homophobic or biggoted stuff

Well, the difference between Rose and Cobb is that Rose broke the cardinal rule of MLB, and that is gambling on the games.  After the blacksox scandal, that has been the 1 unforgivable sin, since it basically puts the outcome of the games in question.  Cobb was just a jerk and a bad person, but on the field, you couldn't really question whether the games were on the level.

It's hard to pick just one.

I agree with the guy who wondered why Ewing would be on the list - while Dwight Howard and the accidental elbows isn't

Nick Van Exel. if he's the player I'm thinking of, got in a fight with a teammate in college and kicked the guy in the head a couple of times after he was unconscious. He also, I believe, attacked a ref during an nba game.

Jeremy Stevens, former tight end for the Seahawks and other teams, long list of legal transgressions.

Is Christian Peter on the list? Also should be. Marcus Vick? Pacman Jones?

Sad, but the list is very long.

Speaking of tight ends, how about Mark Chmura?
