Hey all.  I'm in a 3 year H2H keeper league. Stats are:

FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO

positions are:
PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN

I would like to punt some areas and take advantage of others to give myself a 5-4 win every week.  i've never tried this strategy and it sounds like fun.  Has anyone ever tried this?  which ones should i go for?

It seems impossible to do within the restrictions of having positional requirements.

Points, rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage sometimes go hand-and-hand, so there are four of your categories.  It's a toss up on #5 (but forget about FT%).  If you can land an elite PG early, maybe assists.

Punt on FT%, if you plan to punt in any category.

I'd target blocks, assists, steals, rebs, and 3s. Fielding a lineup of pass-first point guards and defensive and 3-pt specialists should cover those cats. You might also get the occasional win in TOs and FG%.

Hey Blake,

I would warn you to use extreme caution trying to implement your strategy, simply because how you think it (the scoring system) works might not be how it actually works.

Using the specifics of your league as the example...

If you win week 1 by a score of say 5-4 - then your record after week 1 might very well be 5-4 (as opposed to 1-0 as you believe).

I simply advise you to ask your commish what the true scoring system is, because it's impossible to give you accurate advice without knowing such specifics.
