We are 8th in defensive rating and 9th in offensive rating in the NBA currently through the season

Oh, great, 17th out of 30 teams.

If you add the two ranking together I suppose, but that wouldn't make any sense.

Lol. What?

Don't worry guys, just a joke.

I know that you are really supposed to do offense minus defense. We're #1! We're #1! USA! USA!

This isn't high school, Marcus. It's the NBA. Jaylen needs to be more assertive offensively. Why mess with his head?

This isn't high school.  If getting chewed out by Marcus for not showing enough effort on D messes with Jaylen's head and prevents him from being aggressive on offense, then he doesn't belong here.

He'll be fine.

I have no problem if Marcus was chewing him out for not hustling back on D. But if it was because Jaylen was asserting himself on offense, different story.

TP - my thoughts exactly.

I am a huge Smart fan, but I will definitely take a strong Jaylen drive over a quick Smart pull-up any day. With Smart's shot selection lately, it looks like he has been watching a little too much IT.
