Intriguing.  What are we trading?

Guess we're adding yet another no-defense power forward.  This should be interesting.

Hm interesting.

At first when I saw this post I thought this was a "trade idea", but it's actually for reals.

Officially doubling down on reaching the middle.

More trades to come, I assume.  Probably Sully or Olynyk for a wing.

interesting.  very curious regarding the details.  have to think we're getting some real sweetener from them or moving Wallace.  even if it's moving Wallace, since they're both expiring we should still be getting something more from them for taking on salary

must be getting something else like a second rounder from them or a switch of one of our seconds for their first next year.

So what's the return? I thought the C's were capped out? He'll be nice trade fodder during the season.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ainge just swapped one expiring contract for a larger one with the thought that maybe Lee can earn a starting spot, put up nice numbers, and convince a playoff team desperate for productive big men to trade for him mid-season.

what are the odds he'd play some center for us?  haven't seen him since he left NY -- is it possible that's what Danny may have in mind when acquiring him?

It seems like it is just for Wallace. Will improve the team now and not mess with any future financial flexibility.

I'm curious who gets squeezed in the rotation. They won't be able to play Lee, Olynyk, Sully, Zeller and Johnson. Especially because they like to go small with Crowder at the 4 a lot.

I thought we would finally give Olynyk, and Sully a chance to get heavy minutes but it looks like we might start Lee and Johnson instead this year.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

So the C's are now capped out. Well I guess Lee has more trade value than the corpse of Gerald Wallace.

This is my guess - the logic is that Lee offers on-court value on top of being an expiring deal, which will more than offset the added expense of the contract.

At a bare minimum I can just about guarantee David Lee is not part of our long- or medium-term plans.
