** Well, another week of no-NBA-angst and no end in sight ... both sides think they've made all the compromises and no one willing to budge from here. I don't want to think about what the next step will be, but I'm sure we all know what that is ... here's hoping I'm wrong, cuz no Celtics for another
year seems almost intolerable. As far as PAPTYG scores go, a bit of an improvement over last week, (+143 yards overall), but it's amazing how close it is from week-to-week, and how consistent most NFL QBs seem to be. I had the misfortune to go with Brady on his worst game of the season so far, but I came in last in Week Three, so I'm no stranger to losing ... plus, he gave me 520 yards in Week One, so I won't complain too much when he has a downer. I find it a bit sad that Tebow is struggling so much, as I really like the kid, and I think he was put in a position that he wasn't at all ready for, both in the draft and as a rookie QB. Seems fairly clear that he just does not have the abilities to make it in the NFL, and instead of being utilized in a way that might have brightened his future, they're going to force him to be shamed out of the game altogether. It will be interesting to see how Denver deals with this in the weeks to come ... much backpedaling in the works, I fear.
It looked as though
Wdleehi would pull down the victory when Sunday night rolled around, but Rivers had a huge game on Monday night and secured the upset for this week's winner. Sooooo ... a big congratulations to
Redz this week, who not only won, but
also moved back into second place in the overall points standings ... nice job, Bud. We had
eight players again this week, (for the third time this season), but it would still be nice to recruit a few more if possible ... it's hard to believe we're into the ninth week already, and entering the month of November - wow! As usual, the winning score receives
seven times the number of players in TPs, and second place gets one TP for every player, that way it's comparable to
PAPOUG and
PAPTBG, and it hopefully makes it more enticing for new players to join us.
One TP paid to
Redz for the win, (fifty-five owed),
one TP paid to
Wdleehi for the
very sweet second-place score, (seven owed), and
one TP paid to everyone else for playing ... thanks again to all! The current year-to-date standings are listed below, (yards totals and QB rating totals ... thinking of using that as a bonus somehow, or alternate stat for playoff qualification), along with the Void List ... thanks!
