Removing my bias as a fan and extrapolating the data I'm predicting the C's will win 41 games this season.  What is your prediction?

It’s 4 games, we were 2-2 last year too. Stop this nonsense.

I don't know about the exact record, but I'm 99% sure we'll win between 2 and 80 games. I'd even bet good money that we'll end up between 9 and 73 wins
I'm bitter.

this thread may win the early season award for banality.  ::)

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I 100% predict that no matter how many games the Celtics win this season, it will be a percentage.

What an absurd prediction. If you think we'll win less games than the Clippers and Wizards did last year I dunno what to tell you

I 100% predict that no matter how many games the Celtics win this season, it will be a percentage.

Not only that, the percentage will change for the better after a win and worse after a loss.  AND here's the really nutty part:  the effect on the winning percentage will be less and less dramatic the more games they play, and super wicked dramatic at the beginning of the season.
Yup

I am sticking with 66 we are too good not to figure it out.  At least we are better than Philly or LA....

That scorching hot take will keep me warm this morning.

They'll be fine.  It's October.  This team will figure it out.

The Celtics hardly had a pre-season. Especially in terms of getting that starting lineup set. I felt that was Stevens' most important priority--and he missed it.

Instead, he just threw all the money together and started the season with them. Turns out Hayward isn't really ready to start on this team. He should be coming off the bench--at least for a while--where his shot can better be utilized. He looks a step slower right now, and may be affecting the tempo.

The Celtics have a lot of youth and athleticism, and they should be exploiting it more to get easier shots. That should also result in a stronger transition game. They need more selectivity in the 3P shot, and more play in the paint.

I disagree on Hayward.  He has been the best defender of the starting 5 and is really stroking the 3 ball.  Not super aggressive yet, but that will come.  He needs to stay in the starting 5.  Brown is the one that has been very bad.  I might move him to the bench and start Smart in his place.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Oh, no, and we're healthy! How bad will we be if somebody gets injured?!

Seriously:

Take off the green goggles and try to think objectively for 2 seconds. Extrapolating from last game's data we are clearly finishing 2-80.
