Well cant say i am embarrassed but never have seen E.T. And any of the Star Wars.

i dont know if you should be embarassed, but you are definitely missing out.

Even if you arent big into sci-fi.  ET and the original 3 star wars are amazing.

For me i can think of a couple:

Godfathers
Big Lebowski
Resevoir Dogs
Goodfellas
and Hoosiers

just playing Roy, of course I've seen Hoosiers

I've never watched any of Kubrick's movies, the Godfather movies, and any of Scorcese's films (except Gangs of NY and Departed).

BLASPHEMY!  You're really missing out.  Also I saw someone say to skip Heat.  You're wrong.  I need to see Schindler's List though I don't really want to.  My summer goal is to import my entire dvd collection onto my harddrive.  1 dvd a day and it's coming slowly.  I just saw The Insider and it was good.

If anyone wants to watch a really good Western to ease into the genre, I recommend "Magnificent Seven"...its a remake of Kurosawa (SP)'s seven samurai

we could start a whole nother thread just about this. if you want to ease in on a historical level go with: The Searchers (classic Wayne / John Ford), High Noon (shot in realtime -- Gary Cooper and whoa Grace Kelly), Red River (first 360 degree shot and classic Wayne) or Fort Apache (Henry Fonda doin' his thing). If you wanna roll in agunz blazin' I'd just go straight to The Wild Bunch -- 'if anybody moves, kill 'em!"

The Matrix
Titanic
the Godfather Series
I've also not seen Titanic. However, rather than be embarrassed, I've always been rather proud of it.

I'm sure I'm gonna get pounded for that list, but hey at least I'm honest.  Mybe I'll be convinced to actually see them

no pounding, just pity.

not seeing Caddyshack is a tragedy.  You need to address that

i might take some heat for this, but Titanic is a good movie.  It has some really chick-flicky parts, but overall its a good movie.

As for the Matrix, im not too big of a fan.

Edit: anyone who has a problem with me liking Titanic can speak to my associate pictured in my avatar.

All those movies are good!! The God Father serie? are you kidding me? Embarrased, that is one of the best series of movies ever made!! Your lucky I can't revoke TP's , cause I would revoke them all!

Now an embarrassed movie I have seen is Best In Show, thanks to my wife and to this day she gets mad if I bring it up! She just had to keep watching "its gonna get better I promise, my Mom said it was good."
Well guess what my Mother-in-law has bad taste in movies!!!!
Now Broke Back Mountain, I fell asleep within 10 minutes.....Thank God!
