This is a simple thread born out of curiosity. We have have CS names, mine being Hwangjini_1.

I am curious as why you all picked the names you did. Some are easy to figure out when they have "Celtic" as part of them. But others leave me scratching my head.

So, do me and everyone a favor and let us all know about your CS name.

And to kick it off.... Hwangjini is the name of a poetess born in 16th century Korea. Long ago I translated a collection of her works and was greatly touched by her writing, her intellect, her honesty, her emotions. Since then, Koreans have made some interesting movies loosely based upon her life, and even a TV series.

So, in honor of her, I adopted this name.  ;D

Here is more info on her for those who are curious folks.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I chose my name many years ago when we had a long time before our last championship. Classic Celtics teams had a certain toughness from years ago that seemed to have vanished after Bird got injured with his back and a few decades went by where we just existed.

Bringing toughness back was always a hope..when KG joined our team with Pierce, it had finally returned. Here is hoping our young one’s learn how to embrace the toughness within them and catapult us to the next level. I feel both Tatum and Brown have it!

TP for the thread!

Mine is pretty obvious.  Paul Silas was one of my favorite players.  I also named my cat Silas.

The all new AOL 3.0! Needed a username to login so I picked ChillyWilly because TopCat was already taken.

I wish mine had deeper meaning or was a better story but sometimes the truth is boring. I can double roll my tongue though so when the talent part of the competition comes I'll be scoring double TPs.
ok fine

Roy Hobbs = the alias Paul Pierce used at hotels

Quote
Dan Patrick: Do you have a favorite alias that you've used on the road?
Paul Pierce: Roy Hobbs. Since I beat everybody in pool and tennis and softball, the guys were like, "Man, you're a natural." I practiced nothing. It just came naturally.

Crappy Xbox live name that I thought of when I was 14. I thought it was really cool at the time, and it just stuck with me. It has no real reason behind it, other than I like RPG games.

I lived in Sydney Australia for a few years back in 2000. When I returned to the US I couldn’t stop raving about it so my friends started calling me “the OZ God” (OZ being short for Aus). I liked it and kept it!
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I love rock music and I'm a Christian, so I especially love rock music with a positive Christian message (there's quite a lot of it, believe it or not).
"There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'"

I chose Gouki as it’s the Japanese name for the Street Fighter character Akuma. It translates to ‘Great Ogre’, which I think is funny. 88 was just a random number.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)

PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)
