Hi, I'm Rebus Rankin. I'm here today to talk to you about PAPOUG. PAPOUG stands for Pick A Player Over/Under Game.

PAPOUG is a fantasy sports game that's been around for about a year or so. It's the brainchild of our own Redz.

How it works is this. You pick the NBA player you think will score the most points above his average on a given night. The poster who does so wins that night's game. The winner (and the runner up if ten or more posters play) wins Tommy Points.

There is also a points system where you can earn points towards a play-off birth. This will take place during the NBA play-offs.

We are always looking for new players. If you have not played this game, you really need to.

Here are the Top5 Reasons To Play

1. It's the fun game invented by the evil clown.

2. PAPOUG trash talking.

3. Tommy Points.

4. Witnessing Kwhitt's clairvoyent powers.

5. It's fun.

And don't be intimidated by the accumulative scoring part, you can play as little of much as you like...the cumulative thing is separate from the daily game.
Yup

I'll have to admit this (PAPOUG) is fun. I even have my oldest son helping me with the picks.

And it's safe...my wife heard about me playing and saw my oldest son's interest and she thought we were betting ;D.

I said, "Yes honey it is a bet, sort of, but it's for Tommy Points, not money."

Her being a very casual watcher of Basketball in general, of course she asks me "What in the world is a Tommy Point", lol........

For me, I use ESPN.com/NBA (only place to use if I'm not mistaken) to pick my players. I try to look at each matchup, especially if a player is hurt and look at who MAY end up picking up his scoring slack.

I also look at trends..for each particular game, there is a "Last 5 games" portion, listing how that player has scored based off of his Seasonal Average.

That's just me..others here may pick their players differently, and my method has only been successful for me about 40% of the time, but it's still fun.

And if the player you picked ends up scoring the least amount of everyone else picked, you STILL get a TP for your troubles..called a Doody.

Well it was a low budget commercial. I couldn't afford Redz or Edgar.
