Wow, the last  time Kemba shot over 40% in a game (excluding the all star game) was on 1/26. Very long shooting slump. He's due for a big night.

No call on the Kemba tackle?

Rather Smart on the line with the game on the line.
No you wouldn’t

Maybe not a month ago, and maybe not a month from now, but right now yes.

Kemba’s game on the line confidence (due to injury recovery or any excuse you want to make) has taken two VERY bad hits recently.

Right now I’ll take Mahhcus.

I'm definitely on board with Marcus on the FT line with the game on the line.

The reality is that Marcus Smart is an average 3-point shooter (35%) and a better than average FT shooter (83%).    It seems that his % goes up in crunch time though I have no idea if this is true.

Me either, but you’re exactly right...it certainly feels that way.

Except for that boneheaded fouling the 3 point shooter play a few games ago, he always seems to make the right plays in crunch time.

He's played in 7 games in 5 1/2 weeks since being hurt. All his misses were short. He simply hasn't had his legs under him since getting hurt originally. As he heals up and gets his stamina and conditioning back, he will be fine.

Wasn't able to watch since midterms are cool. How did everyone do? Hayward and Tatum look like they had nice games from their statlines.

Hayward and Tatum carried us.  Theis played well... Sabonis is a tough matchup for him but he battled.  Smart was solid.

Kemba is still in a funk, and nobody did anything off the bench.  No R Williams tonight.

Hopefully Kemba can round back into form for the playoffs. That injury really seemed to do a number on him.

For sure.  We're a very dangerous team if he's in All Star form.  If he's not, we're on much shakier ground... as the last couple of weeks have demonstrated.

This is why I hate seeing Celtics players making it into the All-Star game. It's an event where players can get run to the ground, giving opposing teams an advantage throughout the season should the player get injured.

Agree, I'm not too worried about Kemba. It's also hard to let it fly and shoot yourself back into form when you have two other players firing on all cylinders in JT and Gordon. It's the same when Gordon shoots poorly and people start slitting wrists - like Gordon, Kemba is unselfish and will not just jack up shots if others are shooting well. He'll be fine.
