Nice start for the season on the road...2-2.  Starting pitching looks real good....Bello: 5 IP, 2 ER; Pivetta: 6 IP, 1 ER;
Crawford: 6 IP, 0 ER; and Whitlock: 5 IP, 1 ER.  Not too shabby.

Bello is young and is gonna be a stud, the other guys will all be 28 years or older before end of season. They are not old but not exactly young prospects either.

I know this is obvious but so far Seattle has the worst hitting numbers of any team.  So was the pitching good or was the hitting bad.

I think the pitching was at least pretty good.  Seattle was about average in the AL for runs scored last season.

For my fantasy baseball team sake, I hope Crawford keeps this up.

Trevor Story appears to have injured himself falling on his shoulder with the Sox up 4-0 against the Angels in the 4th  :-\

The Sox are fun to watch this season (6-2) and their pitching staff has been amazing.  The Sox are 1st in the league in ERA - 1.60; opponent batting average - 1.62; and WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) - .87.

I’m not normally this negative but I really hate what the ownership has done the last few seasons. Removing myself from that I am tempering expectations until the Sox aren’t playing the worst two teams in the al (including a team that won 50 games last year). Our pitching staff outside of bello didn’t all become aces at 28 or 30.

It could all snowball anyways. Unfortunately the Story injury is a bummer. We don't really have good depth on the roster to begin with. And of course, there's no way our rotation and bullpen stays healthy all season.

Oakland is clearly the worst team in baseball and Boston beat them three times.  Seattle is currently ranked by ESPN as the 9th best team in baseball (Boston is 13th) and the Sox split the 4 games with them.  Last night they won the first game of a three game series against the Angles (currently ranked 25).  It's still very early but I'm pleased with their play so far.

I meant the A’s and angels. Seattle is ok but we split a series with them.

I think everyone should be pleased at how the season has unfolded thus far, but yeah, thus far the schedule has been very soft. A couple of series against objectively good teams could be very sobering.
