Anyway, I'm celebrating. At his best, I think he can play with the top 5 players in the NBA. He may even be an MVP candidate soon.

Especially with his mini afro.

Very interested to see how the Rozier situation plays out

So it’s official... we won the trade by a landslide? We traded (14 games played for Cavs) of a journeyman point guard, a declining jae crowder,  euro filler, 2nd round pick in 3 years, and a 2nd tier lottery pick of a guy that ended up being a guard from Alabama that had a small streak of good gamss. All for potentially 10+ years of a superstar top-2 point guard. I like it

I was there tonight. OMG was it awesome, when he stood I had no idea what was coming. The team is healthy and there is no more looming questions about Kyrie, that's putting team and organization first in my opinion. I couldn't be happier.

I met Robert Williams. His hands were the size of my forearm. Don't think I've ever been so emasculated shaking someone's hand before  ;D

Also, gotta think this spells the end of Scary Terry.

I wasn’t overly concerned with his non-committal, but I won’t take this to the bank either.

Anything can happen in a year, so let’s hope he’s happy here and we do big things this season.

I don’t think anyone’s goal is just to win the East. These guys truly believe they can hang a banner next October.

He just announced it at the event tonight, I’m in the stands.

Great news. Takes away all the speculation. Keep in mind he says he's planning to, not that he will. But I would guess it would take a lot to change his mind (e.g. Boston having a dismal year, etc).
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Don't forget this part though:

"Irving has also communicated with Boston ownership over past several weeks and verbally committed plans to stay long-term"

It looks like he has made a promise to the front office. Now, he wouldn't be the first player to break that type of promise, but it would be highly unlikely.

It was considerate of him to wait for the season to get started, so we had something other than politics to argue about for the last few months. Thanks Kyrie!

That's great news! Whether or not you are a huge fan, Kyrie has proven himself to be a true max-level player and an absolute savant with the ball in his hands. To be a successful NBA team, you need to be paying your big money contracts to guys like Kyrie and not say, Danilo Gallinari.

I hope not.

Really? So what's your genius alternate plan? Please fill me in.

When was the last time that a team who's best player was 6' 3" won a championship?
Plus, he could not even make it through last season.
