I have a feeling that he's going to average close to a triple double this year even if his scoring goes down I think everything else goes up.

ADD/DROPS
We will be using CBS FAAB System (free agent auction bidding). Each team will start the season with $100 (plus any unused cap money from the Annual Auction) in FAAB auction money to bid on players. Minimum bid is $1. Tied bids are broken by reverse standings (standings are only updated for this purpose on a weekly basis). The tiebreaker list is posted on the add/drop page.

Cut players will have a 1-day waiver period before they may be picked up again.

Bonus dollars will be awarded to your auction budget for the following events and amounts: Triple-Double $3, Quadruple Double $15, Player-of-the-Week $1, Player-of-the-Month $5. Players must be on your active 12 man roster for the day of Triple Double or Quadruple Double or any day during the period for the P.O.W. or P.O,M. awards in order to be eligible for the bonuses.

So, let's say Lebron gets a triple-double.  That $15 dollar goes into our coffers to bid on waiver players, is that right?  Can I "bank" this money and use it toward next year's draft, or keep rolling it over for drafts in the future? 

Also, I'm a little hazy on what next year's player draft (other than rookies) will look like.  Why do we need a ton of money, if nobody drafted (and not cut) is going to be a free agent for two or three seasons?

OK, I was going to wait a while to get into the FAAB but seems we have the hang of the auction.

The FAAB is indeed a system to bid on free agents.  We each start with $100.  The  FAAB $$$ are totally separate from the money we are spending in the annual auction and have no reflection on player salaries.  You have a finite amount of FAAB to spend on free agents though, so you need to bid wisely.

The bonus $$$ adds to your FAAB bankroll (a triple-double is $3, not $15).  You also get credit for money under the cap in the auction (if you spend $246, you get $4 added to your FAAB kitty - even though they are technically unrelated - it's just a little bonus to ease the pain of leaving money on the table).

Also, I'm a little hazy on what next year's player draft (other than rookies) will look like.  Why do we need a ton of money, if nobody drafted (and not cut) is going to be a free agent for two or three seasons?

You don't necessarily need a ton of money, but you'll need some.  You can only keep 8 active players, so at least 7 players from every team will go back into next years auction.  Usually grossly overpriced players get thrown back into the auction since teams prefer to keep more reasonably priced players, so you need a bunch of money if you want to land a super star.
