What's up with those?

LOL. I've been thinking of them as the "Andre Agassi headbands."

But yes, I'm surprised to see any basketball players wearing this type.

Just another effort by the players to look as bad as they possibly can. Some of these guys have already gooked themselves up so badly with the tatts and the wild looking hair and beards that they look like terrorists. Think I'm exaggerating ? Did you take a good look at Brandon Ingram this year ? Then, of course, we have those individuals who made some sort of conscious decision to style their hair so that it sticks straight up in the air, or hangs over their forehead like grass growing over the edge of a cliff. The out-of-control tatts have been a wonderful addition- completely covering arms and the always popular neck & face designs. Do they think this looks good in any possible way - I suppose the idea is to look as bad as possible - this makes you cool and cool is the most important thing in their world. Just more coarsening of the culture.

I can't believe the NBA has not outlawed the bandana headbands, though. Probably Serpent-face Adam Silver is afraid someone will cry racism.

The mismatching shoes is what I really don't understand. I completely understand guys wanting to wear "their" brand and "their" design, but why on Earth do some of these guys insist on wearing pink shoes with a green uniform? Or neon yellow shoes with a red-and-blue uniform? I wish the league would ban that.

TP!  I've been calling them "Daniel LaRusso" headbands.

Wow. The guy who just shot up a mosque in New Zealand looked nothing like that though, but go off.

The headband is in the style of the Hachimaki, not a bandana. Tennis players have been wearing them for years.

At the risk of having this thread run off the rails, I have to ask: what documented terrorists do you have in mind that look like NBA players with tattoos?  The only heavily tattooed terrorists that come to mind for me are Neo-Nazis, and I don't see much of a resemblance.  I get it if tattoos aren't your thing.  They aren't mine either.  I used to think Christ Anderson reminded me of a NYC subway train from the 80's.  But to suggest that the look like terrorists (as if there is some universally defined "terrorist look") is pretty ridiculous.
