In spite of the covid, injuries, Smart hero ball, tough schedule, and everything else, Celtics now have the 3rd best record in the NBA.

Smart with some great hustle plays to keep positions alive

He should only play in the last two minutes.

Smart should just do what he does well and stay away from what he is not good at and his coach, Brad Stevens, should force him to play within those limits. Instead, we hear Brad the other night, post-game, talking about how hard Marcus is trying and how much Marcus cares and how Marcus does his best to get them into their offensive sets and on and on ...........

This is why I have doubts about Stevens' ability to coach this team to a title.

I'm starting to think NBA basketball may involve teams going on runs during the course of the game. As long as your runs are bigger/better than your opponent's, you generally win.

THAT'S the Smart we want to see! The guy doing all the dirty work.
Taking a body slam for the team - though it still looked like he sold it WWE-style lol

Close to the biggest defensive flopper in the league.

Although I am fine with flopping to a point. Flopping on offence seems to be translated to "he's great at drawing fouls" and lauded for some reason.

This^

Harden has made hundreds of millions of dollars from it.

We don't exactly have a lot of viable options right now.  On offense, it's Tatum and Brown and then the roster drops off a cliff.  Nobody else is more than a bit guy who can chip in a few buckets here and there.  Smart is overburdened trying to be the next man up, but he's probably the best we have until Kemba gets back.

I think Teague has been great and should be getting those possessions instead of Smart or at least a look at those kind of possessions. He's not making his bunnies at the moment but I like the looks he's getting out of the P+R.

PP needs to get more touches to take pressure off of Smart. The kid is efficient and has good vision, and it will allow Smart to conserve energy so he can do more of what he is good at: hustle, defense, and big plays.

That's crazy to think about.

Wishful thinking

Smart thinks he is better than Pritchard on offense

Westbrook is incredibly frustrating.

he plays like a robot ....without his brain plugged in.   The terminator with zero team ball IQ .

I agree, a few months from now.  I think he's not quite ready for that yet.  The thing with Pritchard is that I think he's just out there streetballing right now.  You see it occasionally... Theis expects him to cut for an easy layup and he doesn't, he dribbles in circles occasionally without a real purpose, stuff like that.

That should scare other teams.  This kid doesn't even know what he's doing yet and he's already hanging 20 on people.  When he catches up and develops chemistry with the team?  Oh s***.
