Both teams move on from their nightmare acquisition Celtics get away from hayward's crazy contract and hopefully helps out Jaylen Brown and Tatum we get to take one look at fultz before we flip them for Anthony Davis LOL.
-
I say no because let’s give Hayward time. I say this as someone who has never been a Hayward fan. Tbh I’m not a Kyrie fan either LOL but root for them as C’s
Fultz rumor is he’s worth a late first at best or an expiring. LOL
-
We also trade our integrity for attracting free agents away in that deal
-
that is crazy!!

What kind of special you smokin
Fultz is on his way to become one of the biggest busts in the history of the nba
80 percent of Hayward is 5 times better

We are getting about 22% of Hayward

If anything the team should field offers for Horford
Free Williams and Yabu

Awful

Like Pierce said ...give him 40 games
It took pg13 one whole season before looking 85 percent of himself

Does anyone else remember when we wanted to trade bad players for good players, instead of trading good players for bad players?
Can we go back to that? The only thing worse than someone that doesn't understand why we can't trade 2 quarters for a dollar is someone who doesn't understand why we shouldn't do the opposite.

You're not wrong, but there are people who would be happy just to get out from Hayward's mammoth contract. Muscala and Chandler are expiring, so we would really just be taking on Fultz's $9.7M next season in an attempt to recharge his value. While this isn't promising, look at what Embiid brought to the table in his first two years in the league. Bad comparison, I know, but just trying to look at this deal as not just a straight salary dump.

Hayward will NOT be getting traded unless Stevens leaves.
-
Why are people try8ng to move Hayward when brown is the upgradeable guy?

There’s no way to logically view this proposal as anything other than what it is: terrible.
What are expiring contracts gonna do for this team? Keeps us in the tax this year, and with raises and resignings, we stay in it next year. No way to get cap room for free agents. Trading a great player for more role players is the exact opposite of what this team needs.

There isn't really any advantage to dropping that salary, though. Kyrie's new contract, along with Horford opting in and jumps in salary for other players is going to keep us above the cap, trading Hayward for Anthony Bennett 2.0 Markelle Fultz isn't going to change that
Well, it would help if we wanted to re-sign Rozier for big money, but I don't think ANYONE here wants that right now :P
-
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. As far behind as Hayward has looked, he is still better than any of those players. Fultz isnt even with the Sixers right now.
-
Don't see how this helps us. We wouldn't have cap space to go after a Max guy next offseason.
-
Only if the Sixers throw in Demetrius Jackson. Great to have him back. He was a game changer.
-
Nope

That's exactly what I was going to say 8) If Rozier looked like we had all hoped, keeping him and Morris might be the more desirable option.
I am willing to play the game with Hayward - what choice do we really have anyway? How exciting would it be if he even got back to 80% of his former self? I was just trying to point out that there are advantages to trading him away and essentially pretending like we never signed him the first place. I think we also get below the tax in this deal, as well. KGLL should have used anybody other than Fultz, though - nobody is going to be jumping on his bandwagon right now.
Maybe something along the lines of sending Hayward back to Utah in an Ingles/Burks deal or something.

I agree with you that it's the craziest trade proposal of all time.

Because as My buddy pointed out. This was all an elaborate hoax by Ainge to get Both Tatum and Fultz plus the kings pick.
He's just kidding about the Yips.
-
Brings me back to days of wanting to trade our best for Okafor.....just puked internally at this thought!
-
You lost me at Markelle Fultz. He looks like the worst #1 overall pick since Anthony Bennett and you want to trade for him? No way in hell! I don't want that kid anywhere near this roster!
-
That would be the worst trade of all time
-
I think Markelle would have had the same problems on the Celtics as he's having on the 6'ers. Ship him off to Phoenix or Atlanta where he could have a chance to fail a bit and not have it be national news every time he takes a Free Throw.
I get that #1 picks are supposed to be held to a higher standard but ESPN's embracing of the 'everything's a meme' style of coverage has contributed to Fultz' poor start to his career IMO.
-
It's funny how almost every KGLL trade idea post has a lopsided poll with like 90%+ "NO"
As for this idea... nope. But it's definitely crazy!
-
Well, at least the title of the post was accurate.
