Trade #2 (of 7)

Eja trades #8 pick, Iman Shumpert

Juggernauts trade 2016 1st & 2nd round picks, Tony Snell

I'm jealous of BDub's return. I like Shumpert to have a career year and there are several rookies I'm high on that should be available at 8.

Trade #3 (of 7)
-----------------------------------------

Eja trades Wes Mathews, 39 & 40

Kwhit trades 2016 #1 & #2

This could be a steal for Kwhit. EJA selling low on Matthews. The Mavs need him to do a ton. That said we haven't seen one minute from him since the Achilles tendon tear.

Trade #4 (of 7)
-----------------------------------------

Eja trades Gerald Green, Patrick Beverly, 19, 34

GC trades Chase Budinger, 23, 2016 GC #1, #2

(I have no clue what/where Mk's meme's are from, but "GC got fleeced" seems appropriate for the next commentary....)

I'd like this deal a lot for you, our defending champ, if Beverly were still the unchallenged starter in Houston. Instead it feels like a missed chance to turn your 2016 1st into a bigger difference maker at the deadline. But this is far from a "fleecing" simply because your #1 should fall comfortably in the 18-20 "hard to regret" range. It is an expensive jump up from #23 to #19.

Trade #5 (of 7)

Eja trades #3, James Young, Mason Plumlee

Utah Flash send: Derrick Favors, Harrison Barnes, UF 2016 1, and UF 2016 2

I shouldn't be surprised. MK consistently makes top offers for picks. I like everything about Favors' fantasy game and I don't like Young's chances at all so I'm biased. I'm not even sure who tops the Flash's wish list at #3?  I would've drawn the line at treating Barnes as a throw in.

*However,* for eight years running MK is the one manager who's reliably been a half step ahead of me. For example, everybody, myself included, thought adding Lance for the #13 pick was a haul, instead it nearly cost me a playoff appearance.

Every year I go into the offseason saying "don't trade your pick, GC, don't trade it..." and every year i'm like Kramer getting that settlement from Java World: "I'LL TAKE IT!!!!"

(2:28 mark but the whole thing is comedy GOLD):

It's a bit of an overpay, but I valued Beverly probably more than any other team --- as Lawson wagon-falling-off-insurance.

And Gerald Green BABY! He's back in Gainesville Celtic GREEN?

(this doesn't smell as desperation does it?!?)

If I remember correctly, it was #7 for Lance, which was a steal for you b/c I took Noah Vonleh, who under performed Lance last season. Long term, I am fully on board the Vonleh train.

-- Picks are updated on the original post of this thread (and quoted below). The links to the season-long site (http://www.10thumbs.org/h2h), the CBlog threads, and Yahoo! pages are aslo in that first post!

-- The 2nd post has the trades that have been processed this offseason.

-- Rosters, which are at http://www.10thumbs.org/h2h/2015-offseason-rosters/, won't be updated until tomorrow probably. (not a bad idea to bookmark http://www.10thumbs.org/h2h, as it has everything you'll need all season long.)

Ugh, you're right, even worse. I wasn't thinking far enough back. I trade my 1st in a fit of impatience every offseason... Anyway, not a steal because Lance was very close to a net negative with his FG% and TOs, excepting the occasional near triple double. As I recall, I was looking at Randle or Nurkic.

The trade to Portland should do wonders for Vonleh. I find his game intriguing.
