Who is worse - the Heat without Jimmy or the Pelicans without Zion?

SGA 30 min = 21pts 7ast 5reb 3stl
Jalen Williams = 14pts 6reb 5ast

Jalen reminds me a lot of Pippen. Pip to SGA's MJ. So well rounded and versatile. Those long arms on defense. He can handle, pass, score, rebound, defend.

Giddey = 13pts 6reb 6ast

CJ McCollum 16pts and 7ast but on 7-19 FGA and with 6 turnovers. Awful efficiency.

Dame with an Achilles injury. Not sure we see him again for a while.

East is so watered down. If Boston could only get out of their own way.

There is nobody in the East who can beat BOS in a playoff series. Philly was the only team that had a small chance but Embiid is banged up I doubt they do anymore.

BOS are going to coast and they are still going to the make Finals because there is no real competition in the East.

Assuming no blown leads, the West 2nd round could be insane.

Wolves-Nuggets. Thunder-Mavs/Clippers. Great matchups and storylines. The Nuggets will likely have their hands full with the Wolves and then potentially the Mavs who typically give them trouble. Hoping they can all beat each other up in the process.

The Nuggets vs Wolves will be a great series. I can't wait for that one.

I am not sure about the OKC one. I don't think either of those teams, DAL or LAC, can give OKC a run for their money.

I love the confidence and hope you’re right. That last game though outside of the Suns they literally looked like the worse team in these playoffs on both ends of the floor. Very alarming.

Feels like you haven’t seen the pelicans play lol. They have lost last two games by 53 points combined

Cavs-Magic series is weird..both won at home twice by  complete blowouts
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

Knicks worry me some because they will punch Boston in the face so to speak
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah whoever wins PHI-NY (probably NY) will give us a harder time in the ECF, but I mean that's expected. You can't have an "easy path" the entire way, once you get to the conference finals and finals it's time to put the big boy pants on regardless.

I do think a Boston-New York series would be box office in terms of rivalry, cities, and fanbases.

yes, the Magic didn't have a pulse in the first 2 games.   Then they look like they flipped the switch when they got home.

I don't much like the makeup of that Cavs roster.

Too much diminished returns with

(1) Two small guards who overlap with one another too much on offense and in defensive weakness
(2) Two non-shooting big men who compromise floor spacing

And then the lack of

(3) A genuine small forward. Strus would be a fine 3rd guard behind D Mitchell and D Garland. A bigger guard to balance their backcourt. Instead he is hoisted in at SF where he is overmatched because neither of their big men can shoot the ball sufficiently and the team is desperate for more outside shooting.

I'd like to see Cleveland make some changes to that roster in the summer. That group is less than the sum of its parts. It should be better. They clearly have the most individual talent of any team in the East right now (with Philly & NYK banged up) but they just aren't able to separate themselves from the pack due to bad roster construction. Too much diminished returns and lack of balance.

It would be nice to see them trade one of those guards for a legit wing and one of those bigs for a two way player who can make a jump-shot.

I think the Cavs will move Mitchell this summer.

trades that I think they'd at least consider (and that I think rhe other team would do)

Heat - Michell for Herro, Jaquez, Jovic, 1st

Nets - Mitchell for Johnson, Thomas, the Philly 1st's

Lakers - Mitchell for Reaves, Hachimura, 2 1st
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I don't think that is enough value for D Mitchell. BKN would have to give up Mikal Bridges. I don't think Miami or LAL can make a competitive offer.

D Mitchell is not a 33yr old Damian Lillard. He is in his prime.
