I would trade Rondo for 2 reasons:

1) We have no chance of having succes this season.

2) Rondo is on an expiring contract and it's not a given thing that he will resign with us.

So if we get a fair price for him then we should trade him.

I think we could take advantage of the situation in NY.

I have an interesting trade involving us, Knicks and Nets

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n4tsakk

Nets would love the deal, as they get a few money of there books. At the same time they are blowing it all up in the near future and loosing Williams' year max. deal would be fantastic for them, especially when you get Rondo in return.

Knicks will be the biggest winner on short term. They will get a massive upgrade and at the same time get out of the Stoudemire contract. The problems in Knicks indicate that they cannot tank without getting into problems with the players and the fanbase.

For us it makes sense on the long run. Getting two massive expiring contract will help us in the rebuilding process, and getting KG back will be so beneficial to the youngsters. Try to imagine what he can do for Sully and KO.

Wouldn't trade Rondo for cap space event though it's 30mil

Even worse, it's really only $10 million since Rondo and Bass are expiring anyway
I'm bitter.

I think the market will improve as we go longer in the year.

Yeah, none of these Teams/Players make much sense for us---Except I would be open to Cody Zeller coming here, to play with his brother
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Don't forget Detroit.  Stan Van certain to make a move before the deadline.

Can Drummond be had if we are willing to take back Smith?

I also believe that the market will be better, but I stille like the trade(no Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. sherlock!)

Ok admit I have a mancrush on KG, but I still think he can have a huge impact on our young players and I won't mind if we tank (or rebuild) rest of the season.

I also think that getting rid of Wallaces' contract would be fantastic and next season will be funny especially if we can get some seriously good players in free agency(dream:Marc Gasol and resign Rondo).

I believe that the future is green, and next season will be the first of a long series of good seasons!

Ummm... Absolutely not.. Smith is a bad contract, but at least he will be back to PF.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen

Am I the only one crazy enough to roll the dive with Lopez?

When healthy (I know), he's one of the best offensive centers in the league. I'd think Sullinger would help make up for his rebounding deficiencies and balance well offensively.

Not saying I'd give up a stars package, but it's a phone call id at least make.

I was crazy enough to make a post about getting Lopez, which was definitely not recieved well.

I think Rondo and Lopez would be an elite scoring threat in the pick and roll.  Rondo loves tall guys like Shaq, that was when he was at his best, and arguably when we were at our best.

Yes he's has injuries, but beggars can't be choosers.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
